Customer Questions & Answers

I don't see an attachment that allows using a cut off wheel with this. I only see the package of grinding stones.

There's no mention of any Husky attachment piece (arbor?) to secure a cutting wheel to this and I didn't see anything when I was at HD to allow me to use a cutting wheel. Does HD sell such a device and why isn't it listed as a necessary accessory?
Asked by: LeoH
Granted, I am new to the whole air tool thing, but I was looking for a small cutting device to remove bolt heads and the fact that the page shows cutting discs, as well as grinding stones, often sold with this device led me to believe it would operate a cutting disc as it was, or at least, with an added cutting guard. I find that grouping confusing if you're not knowledgeable about this tool and its purpose.

Where is this tool manufactured?

Asked by: CC
This is a high quality professional quality tool that's manufactured in Taiwan. This grinder features reduced noise, higher torque output and a precision collet for more centricity and "Lower Run out". Most grinders in the retail market are manufactured in China, are noisy, feature cheap bearings so the operation is not smooth or precise. On top of that, Husky also offers the longest warranty in the market with 2 years.

How do I lock in an attachment?

Asked by: Bigferm
the collet locks by using the 2 wrenches provided on the collet nut. you will see the flats on both the spindle and the collet nut. This is where you apply the wrenches to tighten. Please refer to the manual which provides clear direction...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the job I bought it for Works well so well that the grinding bits set that Home Depot sells it just ate it right off. Tools good but get you grinding bit somewhere else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product that works very well. This die grinder is a perfect fit in my hand. Most others are too small and weak on power. This one has strong power and the perfect amount of controllable RPMs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Die Grinder worth buying I got this to grind some thick mild steal housings. I works well with 80-120 psi and does not struggle under have grinding. It has a nice grip built in and does not slip or get hot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product at a good price. I have had this Die Grinder for a few months.Only use it occasionally, not every day like some people. It has plenty of power for a small grinder.Seems like quite a bit more than the "cheapie" die grinders that I have used before this.I like the size, and feel of this.A few of the guys that I work with went out,and bought the same one it went over so well.Deffinately recommend this to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good die grinder unbeatable price The only reason I gave this tool 4 stars instead of 5 was Husky did not include a guard for disc/cut off attachments. The tool works good as a deburring tool. My compressor was a little small for the tools suggested 4 CFM consumption. If you have 5 CFM or bigger compressor you can go all day without stopping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the person that tinkers If you buy a die grinder you must have a use for it. Have not had it long enough to give a true longevity evaluation. It works but I probably could use a bigger compressor. I can only say evaluate what your intent of usage is going to be and the attachments your going to use so you can determine if your comp. will deliver the CFM'S needed to drive the tool. Check the specs. closely. So far for occasional use it has done what is expected but I don't use it every day. And the cost will not break the bank.
