What's to say? Its.a Cord.... just picked it up used once didn't seem to knot up or twist. Would have bought the 100' 12/3 but was almost double the price.

Very heavy duty and plenty of length to get around the yard without unplugging and plugging back in.

The electric mower I purchased requires this gauge extension cord. This cord was a great choice. I'm able to reach the entire yard without changing outlets. The bright color makes it easy to spot in the grass, so I don't run over it with the mower. It is thick and sturdy. Given it is 100 ft. long and sturdy, it is heavy when I'm done and need to coil it up and store it. That's the only disadvantage and it is worth it to have a strong, durable cord.

What can you say about an extension cord? Not much! If it is Underwriter's Laboratory approved, as shown on an attached sticker, It meets UL requirements. If it doesn't don't buy it. One thing to keep in mind about extension cords is the length that you are running. I bought 15 amp rated 14 gauge, because I am going to end up running 150 to 200 feet of cord. 14 Gauge is not rated 15 amp for 200 feet..I don't know what its rating is. However, II do know that the maximum rating for 14 gauge is only 5.9 amp for long distances. Do yourself a favor buy 14 gauge over 16 gauge if you are going to run wire longer than 100 feet and draw anywhere near the 10 amp 16 gauge rating for 100 feet. Smaller gauge wire is bigger, which sounds backwards, and does not heat up as much. Basically, it is safer to use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nick For those who don't know amperage
Ameprage rating decreases with length of cable, so a 50ft cable can handle more than a 100ft cable. Someone said they needed a 15AMP capable 100ft cable, but at 14/3, that's only possibile with 12/3, 10/3, or larger gauge.
As for the cable, good quality, I use it for long runs outdoors for medium duty sound/lighting work. Wish copper wasn't so expensive with the economy though.

I bought this extension cord to use with an electric dethatcher (also reviewed), based on requirements in the user's guide.
The black and red cord allows for good visibility in the grass. Although the cord is thick, it is not excessively heavy and is very easy to wind up and store.
Overall, a great buy.

This cord was recommended to purchase with the electric weed eater we purchased at HD. We usually don't go ahead and purchase recommended items such as these, but this cord and its specs were what was needed for this weed eater and we didn't have that type of cord in our garage already. So........the recommendation (this cord) was right on...thanks Home Depot.

I bought an electric mower and needed a 100-ft cord to run it. I can only compare this to my old orange electric cord I use for my weed-eater. This one was very pliable on the first use, not stiff like my old one! Easy to wrap and no twisting!
