Customer Questions & Answers

How do I get a replacement Replacement Hose?

How can I go about getting a replacement hose for this inflator. Mine is about 18 months old and it leaks.
Asked by: rw67
The replacement hose is not available since it is custom fabricated on the metal shaft. Simply cut it off, and then use whatever method is available to cutoff the thin metal cover on the end of the hose. I used a wire cutter and kept cutting and rolling the metal until it came completely off. As other people have stated, use a small hose clamp (I had a batch in my storage) to clamp the hose to the shaft. Voila!!!

can this be charged indoors and then unplug it and use it outside to inflate my car tires?

Asked by: wahoo
No needs to be plugged in to use. Use an orange outdoor extension cord. I did.

Is air hose included

Asked by: Mike
yes, the air hose is attached and is about 2ft long. In the picture you see it coming out of the inflator on the right side and wrapping around the base. I'll admit they did not show that very well. The end of it has a nozzle that clamps onto the valve on car or bike tires (Schraeder valve style).

Inflating RV tires

I have tried several pumps that die when trying to put 100 psi in an RV tire even though recommended for 150 psi. Will this do the job?
Asked by: Steve
The box say that it can inflate tires and sports equipment up to 130 psi. I used it on a riding lawn mower tire and a SUV tire.

120-Volt Inflator is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 452.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hose breaks at joint My hose broke after a few months. I believe it was because of the way the hose is bent for storage. It broke right at the inlet which has a lot of pressure applied to it in order to bend the hose into storage tracks (it wraps around the compressor). You can see this bend in the product photo. I can't find replacement part for this either. Waste of money. Buy something with a replaceable hose or you may end up with a nice little compressor that can't do anything for you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Inflator but leaky hose Used Inflator for a year to top up air pressure in car and bicycle tires. Fabric coveredrubber hose started to leak due to tear close to end attached to pump. Replacement hose not available. Pulled off the hose andclean cut abit of the hose beyond the tear with a sharp utility knife. Reinserted new end to pump outlet. Works ok now. Have to be careful while rolling the hose around pump for storage.

It works fine - however adding even a few pounds of air to a MH tire takes quite a long time (20 to 30 minutes) and the pump gets very hot - so it needs to rest after topping off even one tire. Just be aware of this and start topping off tires well before you need to drive.

This is an inexpensive inflator that I use for cars, lawn tractor, trailers and bicycles. The unit itself is sturdy, but the hose doesn't last as long. I wish my local Home Depot would carry replacement hoses in stock, but they would probably cost almost as much as buying a new unit.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not durable - lasted 14 months Ok - looked good at first, but don't expect much more than 14 months of use before it self destructs. Used periodically to top up car tires and inflate pool inflatable. Started to leak at the hose. Now unusable. I expected to last longer!

I gave this product one star because of the Husky companies disposable approach to the product. The air hose has a penchant to leak and it is very easy to replace but Husky does not sell the hose separately; you have to buy a new unit. The unit itself is very good so I recommend the product with reservation because the the idiotic business practices of Husky. You can easily repair the hose as is pointed out in the question and answer section but I would personally rather have a replacement part. After this experience I will think twice before buying another Husky product.
