I needed it to be heavy-duty and reliable. The switches began to fail after 24 months of use. Contacted HomeDepot customer service online from their website sending light model # L-5211HD with Aug 2009 manufacturing date info. A year later I received a follow-up call with a case # and called them back. Replacement parts are being investigated. There is no on-line service manual/parts list for this equipment. Husky should have a domestic parts service/replacement program. A better design, even incorporating toggle switches would be an improvement. Needs redesign for contractor duty service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid, Avoid, Avoid! I implore you, do not buy this! First, you have to tighten the bejesus out of the holders, or everything creeps out of adjustment. Then, when you get them tight enough to not move, they strip out & wont stay fixed at all. After literally 5 hours of use, one of the bulbs quit working - replace the bulb, still doesn't work. Also, plan on replacing the bulbs after 25-30 hours of use, because they burn out. This thing is really a compete piece of garbage. It looks heavy-duty and well-built, bit it isn't.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A well built and useful work light. Overall, the work light is great. The tripod column is larger and sturdier that others I have used. The quick release lets me easily take the head off and carry the lights around when I don't need the tripod. Having four 300 watt bulbs and four switches lets me control the light output nicely. Assembly was easy, even though the unit I received didn't have any instructions. The pictures on the box were enough. The grate over each light clipped into the glass frame easily enough once I figured out that the wires with the little hooks on the ends that go into the holes in the metal frames could be squeezed together for insertion into the holes in the frame. The quick release to remove the heads from the tripod is nice. I found I was using just the head a lot for tighter spaces and it worked great because I could turn on just one bulb if I didn't need more light. Mechanically, the unit is sturdy enough but I didn't rate it at 5 stars because the bracket that mounts the lights to the frame aren't flat so I had to really tighten the adjusting bolts to keep the lights from rotating horizontally when I move the unit. Also, the quick release mechanism is sturdy enough but just a little wobbly for my taste. Still, I wouldn't give up the quick release for a bolt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Another half baked Husky Product My HD had this item under the Husky Name - it is exactly the same item. Boy talk about flimsy! Off the tripod it is solid but if I wanted floor lamps I would have bought them. 1) No instructions 2) WHen on the tripod it wobbles all over. I had to put some foam padding on the bracket where it attaches to get a nice snug fit on top - but it still has too much wobble for me - these things get hot so you want something real solid. Husky let me down again. It is almost a quality item - but just shy of good engineering - it is going back in the AM.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Halogen Light Good light for the price. Works well in my garage. The negative is the fact you have to bend a metal tab to get the light to shine down. The picture on the box shows this downward position, but the way it is manufactured it does not shine downward. The light fixture is a little wobbly, but the tripod stand is pretty stable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Light But Not Perfect Adjustments This is an excellent work light. It was easy to put together, throws a lot of light, and is easy to move around. There are only two things that could be improved upon: One is that one of my adjustment knobs came already stripped, so it doesn't do a great job holding the light in place (the light doesn't fall off, just doesn't always stay exactly where I pointed it.) The other is that the lights only adjust left and right, and pole goes up and down, but the lights themselves can't be "tilted." Overall, great product for the money and very helpful in a work environment. Also, be aware that this does throw a lot of heat, so if it's hot summer and you're working in an non air-conditioned shop or garage, this could be an issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Chinese JUNK! The lamps are loose on the removable bar even with attaching hardware tight. The removable bar is loose on the stand. The lower clamp for extending the light broke the first time I picked the unit up to move it, now its taped together. Bulbs only last a couple hundred hours when they should last several thousand hours. On/Off switches are poor quality, sometimes you have to operate them several times before the bulb will light. Come on Home Depot, invest in an American company to make a decent quality work light!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Blinding lights Halogen lighting is amazing. However the frames could use to be a bit sturdier.
