Removes door and base trim by tapping it in between wall and trim pulling out and down and twisting tool. A pry bar may be needed to complete the task. The blade side if it is smooth may be used to smooth nail damage and fill small damaged areas in drywall. It can also be used to remove caulking around a fixture on a hard surface ceramic tile. the blade for scraping and the pointed end to pull out work well for caulking removal. The tool may cause damage to surfaces, use the tool carefully. There are hex holes in the tool, I don't know what their use is. there is a screw driver socket in the handle and two screwdriver bits in the handle. the tool has a nail puller for small nails. Answer:
Yes and no. Yes, if you're desperate and have nothing else. Sparkle should be filled with a flexible metal putty knife. The flex helps push putty into the cavity. The painter's tool has no flex whatsoever. That being said, the 5-in-1 painter's tool (which is what pro painters like myself call them, despite efforts by some companies to add on useless stuff like the hex wrenches) is an indispensable tool. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Time & Space saver! If you're like me, you're running out of room in your garage to store all the many DIY tools & supplies needed to maintain your most valuable possession - your home! This tool is a must-have because it's so versatile - and very useful when cleaning your roller covers, opening paint cans, and of course the other 12 or so uses. Let your screwdrivers live as screwdrivers and your other tools be reserved for their intended purpose. Get this tool and keep it in your "painting supplies" bin - you won't regret it. June 13, 2016
