I needed to remove some ancient piping in my house that I couldn't get off with the other wrenches I had because of how rusted together they were. Using this pipe wrench I very quickly was able to get 8 of the 10 pipes disconnected that I needed disconnected. Only two I haven't gotten are the abandoned gas hose to an old dryer and the nozzle that used to go to the stove and that's only because both of the gas lines to those are not secured to anything.
I love this wrench.

Okay wrench for the price. These pipe wrenches are not intended for everyday use. Working on one inch gas pipe I long for a longer wrench with better grip. i spend more time making adjustments per turn then working.

Most people seldom use a pipe wrench. In this case I had only had part of my tools and I needed another pipe wrench. To me, Ridgid is the ultimate in pipe wrenches but I didn't want to buy a new Ridgid for one project. So, I had the Ridgid on the fitting and Home Depot brand on the pipe nipple. The HD brand did my job and was priced for my quick need.

Purchased two of these pipe wrenches to remove a seized sleeve on a shaft, and they did the trick. The jaws gripped well.

During our project I spent more time and effort fighting the tool than the corroded / stuck pipes. The adjustment bolt is extremely loose and will expand the mouth after almost every turn. Basically it's a never ending cycle of grip the pipe, turn, readjust, turn, readjust, turn.

Good product for the price! Bought it online and picked it up the same day at my local Home Depot store.

Yup, it's a pipe wrench. Had a stubborn pipe. Put a long pipe on the handle for leverage and it gripped the pipe and didn't break the wrench.

This is a basic old fashioned pipe wrench for assembling/disassembling threaded pipe -- no extra bells or whistles. If that's what you're looking for, this is a recommended selection.
