Once upon a time, many years ago, I did automotive repair for a living. I have a complete set of name brand pneumatic tools such as impact wrenches, metal shear, drills, ratchet and chisel. They're all very old but still function...kind of. Every morning I check Home Depot's site for their "Special Buy of the Day" and these Husky air tools were on special so I bought one of everything. I'm not disappointed, they work great. I didn't realize what sad shape my old tools were in until I began using these Husky's. They're far more powerful, use much less air than my old ones and have a two year warranty. Why are they discontinued? I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

Nice tool and easy to use. Works so much better than shears.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by finkh cured my fear of sheet metal
Using tin snips to cut sheet metal usually resulted in cuts, and a sheet with lots of wrinkles. These shears let me clamp the sheet and cut to a straight line with very little effort. Actually, you don't need to press down very hard, just enough to follow the line. A narrow curl grows from the cut, and the sheet stays wrinkle-free. I made an oven for a thermoforming machine from 18 gauge sheet metal and was delighted with the results.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by bae101 There is a gap between the blades that cause problems with some materials, like soft plastic sheets.
Make sure that your air compressor delivers enough CFM, otherwise it won't work. Also, you have to wiggle it while cutting, otherwise it gets stuck in the sheet metal. It gets stuck cutting plastic sheets.
I ordered it online, to be picked up in the store, and I received it with the box opened, and the clerk explanation was that he wanted to see what's inside....

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Patrick Already Broken
Got these when they went on sale for $20 about a week ago and they've already broken. Got about 4.5 ft of cut out of them. Maybe my stuff was too thick but it fit in there handily. The shear broke off the left side.
Other than that great product.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Silent no blade replacment
i had bought these shears and the internal part of the blade broke i was only cutting 20 gauge steel its nice set but if they break or they dull than just take it back cause the only set of blades i found where 40 to 70 dollars the whole unit is not even worth that they have everything else for all the other air tools but not this one

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Richie Works great after rebuilding
Like others, too bad it didn't work when I received it, these must have set on the shelf way too long. Took it apart, fixed the air leak, cleaned, lubed and put back together works great.
