Rated 5 out of 5 by A brain designed this! If I had one thing I'd like to see, it would be even a larger set. It is so simple to simply flip the jaw from adjustable wrench function to pipe wrench function. It really grabs the pipe well when the jaw is flipped to pipe wrench, and it's got a got firm grip when using as a conventional adjustable wrench. As I mentioned, I'd like to see a larger version such as a 12 inch, to make it easier to go from a black pipe union to let's say 3/4" pipe, A genius of an invention I must say! October 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Two tools They made a open end adjustable wrench into a combination adjustable/ pipe wrench. In a pinch I would use it as a pipe wrench, but intend to use it mostly as an open end adjustable. It is simple to switch, you just open the wrench until the end comes off and reverse the end. Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Cool Wrenches I was skeptical of these wrenches so when I got them I started by just unbolting and re-bolting together a utility table and was happy with their use as adjustable wrenches. Then I switched the jaws and went after some pipe joints. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the reversed jaws actually bite in and worked pretty well on pipe. The handles aren't very long so I slipped a short length of pipe over the handle to lengthen the leverage and lo and behold, they worked like a much bigger pipe wrench. Now I would still use a big pipe wrench on tough old joints and bigger size (over 2") pipes, but for smaller jobs these are great. So as a flexible tool I'll always carry these with me. Build feels strong and I think they'll last a long time. December 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clever Design This wrench has a lot going for it. As a basic adjustable wrench, it has the widest jaw opening I have ever seen. The ten inch wrench opens wider than 2 inches; it can easily grip fittings on pipe sizes up to 1-1/2 inch. Reverse the jaw and it becomes a pipe wrench for confined spaces. As a pipe wrench, it is not nearly as good as a dedicated pipe wrench, but enables you access to spaces that are too tight for a larger wrench. I suppose the charm is having a very wide-jawed adjustable wrench that can double as a pipe wrench in a pinch. That saves weight and space in your tool bag. For the price, it is worth having around. Rated 3 out of 5 by For the price and for the right application they are not bad These were on sale for $5 after Christmas. They are by no means precision tools but for working on under sink pipes or in tight spaces, the wide jaw and short throw makes them a very good specialty tool. February 25, 2014
