Answer:
Yes, it has ball bearing slides. It does say that in the product overview, although the description may have been updated to include it after you asked your question. The slides move very smoothly - smooth enough I tend to slam the drawers shut without even trying.

need missing parts

This question is from 26 in. 4-Drawer Tool Cabinet, Black

I am missing the two support prieces that attach to the bottom of the chest where the wheels are attached. these pieces make the floor of the chest more sturdy and weight bearing. The box had a green paper on it that stated "if you are missing parts, please do not return the unit to the store" and further stated that missing parts would be supplied to me.
I returned to the store to see if it were possible to retrieve these missing pieces from a different kit, but they were not very helpful, although they did try.
What do I need to do to get these small but important pieces?

Answer:
The support pieces you are referring to are only used on the 5 & 6 drawer bases, not the 4 drawer model. When I got the 4 drawer and started to put it together, I at first thought I was missing those pieces also. However, reading the instructions more carefully, it mentions they aren't used on the 4 drawer model.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 40 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great toolbox. Mediocre wheels. The toolbox itself is excellent - I liked the first one so much that I bought a second one three weeks later. Very smooth opening and closing of the drawers, even with heavy tools in them. I put rubber drawer liners in the drawers so the tools cannot slide around, because the drawers open and close so easily that I tend to slam them shut without even trying. Before I put the liners in, my tools would wind up at the back of the drawer after I slammed it shut. The casters and the handle are very easy to install. However, I discovered that the hard plastic casters that come with it are only so-so quality. They didn't swivel well, so it was a bit of a challenge to get the toolbox to roll in the direction I was actually pushing it. So when I bought my second toolbox, I put 5 inch rubber swivel casters on it instead of the ones that came with it (see the toolbox on the right in the photo). It is much easier to move the toolbox with the aftermarket casters than with the original ones. August 12, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Ball Bearings fall out of drawers I bought this cabinet from Home Depot . I assumed that it was good quality. I was wrong. The ball bearings in the drawer slide fell out on the floor. I tried to return it to Home Depot and they refused to take because I had no receipt. They sent me to the parts department of Husky Brand which incidentally is Home Depot. They are sending me parts. If I wanted to assemble a rolling tool chest I would have purchased a kit. BEWARE of Husky brand rolling cabinets. October 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Not bad. I was looking for a quick solution for a "bare necessities" toolchest and workbench in a corner of my mechanical room. This fit the bill perfectly size-wise. Add on the bench top plywood they make and it's a perfect mini workbench for tight spaces. I dinged it a star for build quality. It's steel, and it will hold up well, but they could have gone a fraction of an inch thicker to add in some stability to the drawer bottoms. The drawer slides are really nice full extension ball bearing units. So high marks there. Lock is pretty worthless, as it usually is on these style cabinets... so no + or - there. May 15, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by While not heavy-duty, it is good enough for the garage I would not classify this as heavy duty, but for what I paid, it will do well enough in the garage. I purchased this as a combo with the intermediate and top chest and over I am satisfied but the drawers do not close as smoothly as I would like to see them. After doing a bit of looking around and comparing, what would satisfy me would be a higher level tool chest but that equates to a higher price tag (no secret here!). So, all in all, I got what I paid for and I would recommend this for any casual mechanic or handyman for the garage. For anyone else, I would suggest you look at a higher end box. January 8, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by 4 door husky cabinet very low quality,I have the 46" husky tool cabinet, which is a completely different quality than this smaller counterpart, don't waste your money, its very flimsy came all dented, which because of the thin metal would be a given,I can dent it using only my hand pressure.garbage. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Buy... Good product for our needs, I would certainly recommend this item. January 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GOOD QUALITY FOR THE PRICE I scoured the Net looking at the less expensive tool chests (home use). Weight capacity was a very important spec to me as I equate that to sturdily built (600 lbs). Most are 350 or less. I then went to Home Depot to take a look and was pleasantly surprised at what I saw. I then proceeded to purchase this base and the 4 drawer tool box. As far as assembly, if you have trouble with this, you really don't have much use for tools-not much to it. You have to install 16 bolts for the casters and 4 for the handle. April 17, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good, as expected This tools cabinet was probably just about as I expected for the price. It's very solid and well put together. The only concern is that the lock for the drawers is a bit chincy and doesn't always feel like it's locked super tight. This definitely does the job and I couldn't be happier with the price!
