Answer:
This chest weighs 97 lb. It will fit on top of the H4TR1R. However H4TR1R has smaller casters that have a load capacity of 600 lb. This chest was meant to go on cabinets with 1,000 lb. rated casters.

Answer:
Yes, No and Be Careful...
Yes, if you completely remove the "drop locking" metal strips from the back of the lid.
No, removing the top lock will not alter the drawers locking when the lip is closed.
Be careful, as a reminder it is better to have all the drawers locked before it is moved. Any bump can open the drawers and put all of the tools on the floor.

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great buy I love my box I bought multiple boxes and this is one of my favorite I bought the tool box that goes underneath it also on wheels and then I bought a couple of the 46-inch and 52 inch with peg boards and the wood top for the workbench so I've got a whole new tool set and building new tools to go with them and retiring the old but I love him everything works great they lock for safety and I had no issues at all the wheels are also great because I can moved the tool box is around if I never working on a car and want to get those particular tools closer to where I'm working very very satisfied you should definitely invest but you probably missed out on Black Friday when you could have save some money December 6, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by worst purchase at this store the product match the price, but if you are lucky to get it on good conditions I had a very bad experience with and order that I place of 4 tool boxes like this one it took me return 3 times several of them because they were damage, and I still not receiving the last one, this hole fiasco start on 5/10/2016 August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointment everywhere The quality of this tool chest is not bad for the price. I paid $98 each on sale and purchased two of them.... I picked them up in store. I should have expected what I found inside the box after reading the reviews. I didn't take photos of all the damage and that would have been great on my review. Both were damaged. There was no obvious sign of wear on the outside of the box but one of the chest was so bad that I couldn't even open the top all the way. It had to be boxed in that condition. So I took the worst one back for replacement. The customer service desk really needs to hire better people. It took one full hour to get them to go pick one up at another store for me ( they wanted me to drive to the other store)(I finally asked for a manage) I opened the next one and completely unboxed it in the store and it was damaged as well. So they picked up one more. This one was acceptable but in noooo way un scathed by HDs inability to package these tool chest properly. Soooo the long and the short of it. Buy it! Don't leave the store until you spend plenty of time um boxing and examining every part if it. I still have damaged products but for the price it's not worth anymore of my time and I think HD realizes that, otherwise the problem wouldn't still exist. Don't bother with the service desk staff. Ask for a manager right away as they are the only people that will make a decision that makes sense. January 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT VALUE Compared to a Craftsman box of the same price range, this one beats it hands down, plus it significantly deeper drawers. July 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Top box Got this box despite all the reviews warning about possible damage. Thought I could get lucky and get a decent one but i ended up getting one that was banged up. Dents in each side, top lid is flexed bottom drawer is damaged and the front bottom corners are damaged. But know what? It still all functions as it should. All drawers slide and the whole box locks. Sure it's not in the greatest shape out of the box but as long as you're just it at home it's a good little box for the price. If you're worried about damage out of the box 't bother with this one. From what I've seen the damage is a common problem across the product line. May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool chest for the price! I've been in industrial maintenance for twenty one years and just recently sold my US General roller cabinet to save some space. I had a Husky top chest back in the '90's and it was still in great shape ten years later when I sold it. For the price you will not find another box with these dimensions and storage space. Believe me I've researched it. Since many other reviewers said that they received they're's bent I had the salesman at my Home Depot allow me to open the box and inspect the chest. It was perfect and seemed to me to be packaged well. The drawer slides are rated at one hundred pounds and again you can't get that in any other companies box for this price. I have mine loaded down now and it's smooth as butter. I plan to get a bottom cabinet to compliment this top box in a few months. I highly recommend it and I wouldn't be afraid to use it at work. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Damaged from the factory! All checked in three different stores were also damaged! I bought one of these at the Janesville WI store this morning and opened the box after getting home only to find that the tool box was damaged and dented all over the outside. The box it came in was undamaged, so the damage and shoddy work came from the factory! I took it back to the store to exchange it. A store employee and I opened two other boxes, and they were also damaged! I went to both Madison stores, and all of those boxes were damaged too! Home Depot needs to find another manufacturer for their Husky tool boxes! Guess I will be buying a craftsman! May 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great top box I just bought a floor model of this 9 drawer tool chest. Many reviews have mentioned freight damage, so I preferred buying a floor model. I already have 2 other Husky top boxes that were smaller with fewer drawers. Both of the other Husky tool boxes have performed well. Since I use these at home, they do not get as much use as a person using them for a business. I really like the roller ball glides, the drawers slide very easy. Drawer capacity of 100 lbs is more than most other brand tool boxes. I am very happy with this product. As some of the other reviews suggest, be sure to inspect the box for shipping damage before leaving the store. March 31, 2016
