is the bottom drawer deep enough to hold a circular saw?

Asked by: Jack
Jack, in addition a circular saw has three dimensions. You only provide one in your query. Instead of criticizing Product Expert on his answer, you might consider providing additional info such as make/model/overall dimensions for your circular saw.

Customer Reviews

27 in. W 16-Drawer Tool Chest and Cabinet Set is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delivered damaged, still had to pay for it. I purchased 3 of these boxes. Each combo arrived in 2 sections. The bottom section was fine, the top section was badly damaged, for every combo. After much going back and forth, the BEST Home Depot will do is only charge me for delivery. They are making me pay for the delivery that damaged the toolboxes I'm taking time to return at a store! This is an AWFUL policy. I will never, (and I currently order $10k/year plus), order and have it delivered again!!! Waste of my time and money. There was NOTHING convenient about this. Worst part is the company doesn't have any more stock, so they can't even just replace the damaged section. I need to begin this entire process over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I'm OK with the tool box I'm satisfied with the tool box, but it was riddled with dents and the upper box draws is unaligned I'm not sure how but it works. The box is very strong and it does its job

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good but damaged I picked up this combo from the store and it is now at a lower price which is why I went with it. The top section had a bent corner, you can see someone let it down on the corner, the problem is, the top box is too heavy to haul back to the store and it is in the rear of the box so I decided to keep it. I had to use a hammer to strighten out some of the metal so it would lay flat on the lower section. Husky really went cheap on the packaging, for a tool box that is so heavy, the styrofoam they used should be at least twice as thick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice box Looking for a different box for work and bought this combo. The top box is the same depth as the bottom which is nice and not common with other brands. I also like the bottom drawer size. It is deep enough for a welding helmet. Again rather uncommon in a lot of other brands. This box has held up very well the year i have owned it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very Upset Purchased this for my son in law for Christmas and was so upset when he opened it.. There was a HUGE bend on the top of the large cabinet AND the front lower portion of the small box was bent.outward The big dent was covered when he sat the small box on top so that helped somewhat. and since the bottom box alone was over 135 lbs and the Home Depot where I purchased it was 45 miles away he chose to just keep it instead of loading it back up and returning it. I expected more since I paid over $300 for this set. I would DEFINITELY suggest unpacking it at the store and inspecting it before leaving with it .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good but could've been better Overall the tool box is exactly what I was looking for. The only issue I had and the reason it gets a 3 overall and a 2 in quality is because when u got it home and was get it set up I discovered the third drawer from the bottom was not working correctly so I removed it am discovered one of the rivets that held the track on the box itself was not in the correctly. So I drooled it out and replaced it I didn't want to deal with trying to get it replaced by the manufacturer

Product was as displayed in store, but arrived with top of upper unit dented from some heavy object having been stacked on top of the shipping carton. I was able to straighten the top because the sheet metal was light, saving me the time and effort of returning the unit. I now live with a couple of dimples in the top, but nobody can see them but me because the unit is so tall. Please tell your warehouse people to take greater care in handling these cartons. These light metal units can't take the abuse. Otherwise it functions as expected and matches the reviews (drawer detents could be a little softer). I made the right choice, given what I was ready to spend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for Home or Consumer use, though NOT professional-grade Overall I'm happy, I would call this Good, not Great. It has a better variety of drawer sizes than other cabinets in its price range, and I like the split (side-by-side) drawers in the top toolbox. Drawers have ONLY a single drawer slide-rail on each side (unlike some cabinet/chest combos that double reinforce the larger bottom drawers to increase payload capacity). Since I am only using this for home use (organizing my closet items, some tools & misc) it is fine, but I don't exactly trust that each drawer could hold 50lbs without the drawers sagging and interfering with the others below it... I mean that's a bag of concrete, and there's just no way... The sheet metal construction of this thing just doesn't feel sturdy enough for that. Wrenches, and screwdrivers, SURE, but not 50lbs per drawer. Overall I like this cabinet combo set very much. It meets my needs (stores my basic set of tools and leftover fasteners and parts and sits stationary in a closet) and came as described with no damage (stands about 5 feet tall once assembled). HOWEVER, If you have ideas about rolling this thing, fully loaded, to-and-fro in a big shop, I would look elsewhere and get something that has a more sturdy construction, and bigger caster wheels. My heaviest tools are a few drills, a socket set, and a sawzall; If you have more brawny tools than me, then I'd spend a bit more to keep them protected... PROS : It does what I need it to in regards to basic organization and indoor storage for cheaper than most other rolling tool cabinets, and it has a good variety of drawer sizes. It looks boss, and the drawers have a nice anti-slam/closing mechanism. The top lid has a nice smooth hydraulic lifter. Overall I think its a better value than other stores have for a basic consumer tool cab. Owning a rolling tool cabinet will make you feel like more of a man. CONS : Doesn't come with any drawer liners. (many other brands include a foam mat in each drawer, but this is just bare painted sheet metal, so factor a few rolls of liner into your cost for about an extra fourty bucks). There's no access hole in the top compartment for power cords/battery chargers to feed through their cables (My drill will easily fix that). Also, I didn't realize that the lift lid on the top box compartment acts as a lock/unlock for all of the drawers in the top toolbox (You have to flip up the top lid before you can open the drawers). I'll work around this, but I feel like they should have a removable pin or switch or something to disable this. Just from observing the construction of this item, I would avoid using it outdoors or where it would be exposed to corrosive elements. (My guess is that the casters, and connecting handle bolts would rust, and that any chips in the paint on the sides/corners would become rust spots also)
