Customer Reviews

3-1/2 in. Full Head Framing Nailer-DISCONTINUED is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid Piece of Equipment When i bought this gun it came in the gun/palm nailer kit. The price seemed to almost to good to be true, so i called my dad for his opinion(40+ years as a General Contractor). We both like Hitachi nailers but feeling how solid the tool felt (not cheap and plasticy) we gave it a try. So far on the job it has performed well. Has not jammed with about 1000 nails through it. It has a depth set which is nice for sheeting, I also switched the trigger for the semi auto firing vs single shot. It is heavy, I recommend using a light hose with it. Be aware that it does not shoot to the last nail in the clip i think at around 5 nails left it stops firing, i think this is a safety feature, and helps to reduce jamming. Still holds two full clips. Only down side that i have experienced (possibly because of my 4 gal compressor) is when i was putting on sheeting and nails would either go flush or stick out about an eighth inch. Again rapid firing on a small compressor could be the problem. If i was running a bigger operation i would buy more. I bought the 2 yr warrenty with it which is on top of the 1yr manufactures just in case, and i know that Home Depot will make things right if it fails. I thinks its a good buy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for use on old wood Rebuilding a roof after a tornado required replacement of 1x4 and plywood decking. In the first 8 boards to be nailed down, the Husky Nailer jammed 5 times, requiring partial disassembly each time to clear.Old wood is harder than new wood, so for remodeling purposes, I would not recommend this nailer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I am no carpenter, but this works fantastic for the deck I am building. It has cut my nailing time into 1/3 of what it would have been. It is also nice looking, and matches my Milwaukee products too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value I purchased this nailer in a set that came with the palm nailer for $99.00. I have only used the nailer one weekend so far, but it works great! I was borrowing a buddies Rigid framing nailer for other projects, and this Husky nailer seems to have more power and works just as good for a fraction of the cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good gun for the price. So far I have built two decks with it and haven't had a issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Video Included-- Great Framing Nailer I have a video attached to this review. I thought this was a great Nailer for the price. It has tons of high dollar features that a normally come at a much higher price point. Pros-- Adjustable exhaust Magnesium Housing Aluminum Clip Safety glasses Bump Fire Oil Negs-- A few jams not sure if it was the gun of the nails. I'm leaning towards the gun. I would hands down buy this gun again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Better to pay a little more I've had this gun for about 6 months, and have run about 50 strings through it. Each string jams at the last 3 or 4 nails. So you end up with a bunch of unusable nails. I bought the right angle and length, and they're Home Depot nails. Sometimes it jams so bad you have to take it apart to unjam. I recommend spending a little more -- you'll make it back on the wasted nails alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great price & value I am currently using this gun to rebuild my tool shed and to replace the roof on the shed. It is a great value with outstanding performance, ease of handling and I will highly recommend it to any and all. In comparison to other brands, you can't beat the price for a new gun such as this. I am glad that I went to Home Depot first.
