I bought this on a whim and to expand the small collection of air tools for my small compressor. After doing some research I already had a good idea that an 8 gallon tank would not have enough CFM to run this ratchet all that adequately. It sat on the shelf for a couple of months and then I found a need to remove the passenger side seat in my car and it worked great for that. It will bind if you don't have enough torque or the PSI is too low, but you can fix that by breaking the bolt with a manual ratchet first or increasing the PSI a bit.
The area that this ratchet really shines is not so much for automotive work but in driving large lag screws into wood. I started building a deck recently and using a standard socket wrench to drive 3 1/2" by 1/2" dia lag screws is a lot of work. With this air ratchet I was able to drive 2 screws in with about a 1/2" of the shaft exposed before the tank needed a short refill. That's perfect as it gives you time to drill the next set of holes and finish with the manual ratchet. Big time saver.
If you want to use more air tools, larger air ratchets, or impact wrenches in particular my advice would be to get a bigger tank, but then you'll probably need to think about going for a 220V power supply, so it's that tipping point where investing in larger air tools becomes too expensive for the average DIYer.

I bought this air ratchet to make changing the u-joints on my Tacoma easier and boy oh boy did it make it easier. I couldn't break loose the bolts on the drive shaft with a socket and a wrench so I purchased this Husky air ratchet and it broke the bolts loose in seconds. Quality product with a good feel. Id recommend in a minute.

I was looking forward to start using air tools when I first bought this ratchet. After using this one I don't think I'll buy any more, at least not from Husky. I oiled the tool before use as instructed by the manual. The very first time I used it in the field, it sprung a leak and stopped working. This tool didn't get the job done, I had to finish manually. After it broke, it was a poor ratchet, but if you're looking for an air gun, this one is perfect. I'm actually a fan of Husky tools, most of my toolbox is filled with Husky. I just don't think they got this one right.

I bought this ratchet to use around the house and work on vehicles. Only had it a couple weeks but seems to be reliable. And for only about 30 bucks its a pretty good buy. I like it because the head isnt as thick as some others to fit in tighter places. Only torques to 50 ft/lbs but is enough to tighten nuts down. Alot faster than by manual ratchet. Pretty solid construction. Loud at 90 PSI but arent all air tools. Would work better with a swivel connection. Overall great buy.
