Product Overview

The Husky SAE long, ball-end hex bit socket set is a great addition to any tool box or socket collection. This set comes equipped with 3/8 in. drive bit sockets allowing you to tackle wide a range of projects. Bit sockets give you the advantage of accessing fasteners with the reach and tight arc swing of a ratchet that standard folding or L-keys just can't match.

  • Set includes (7) 3/8 in. drive long, ball-end hex bit sockets: SAE - 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 in.
  • Bit Sockets attach to 3/8 in. drive tools, such as a ratchet or breaker bar, providing a longer handle and more leverage than standard hex keys or screwdrivers
  • Chamfered lead-in sockets and bit help to provide fast and easy placement onto drive tools and fasteners
  • Ball-end design allows the hex keys to be used at an angle to access hard to reach fasteners
  • Bit length is 5 in., socket length is 1 in., overall length if the bit socket is 6 in.
  • Cold formed Chromium-vanadium (Cr-V) steel socket base and Heat Treated S2 Tool Steel Bits for outstanding durability and strength
  • Large hard stamped size markings allow for easy identification of socket size
  • Polished chrome sockets wipe clean easily of oil and dirt
  • Chrome finish provides corrosion resistance and added durability
  • Bits are non replaceable/removable
  • Over torqueing increases the risk of stripping the fastener or causing damage to the bit
  • Plastic storage rail included to keep all your sockets organized and in one location
  • Husky mechanics hand tools are guaranteed forever; if your Husky hand tool ever fails, bring it back and we will replace it free

3/8 in. Drive SAE Long Ball Hex Bit Socket Set (7-Piece) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly Made From day one, 1/8" size allen shaft pulled right out the socket adaptor the first time i pulled it off the rack. After using several other sizes at work the same day, the same thing happened to 5/32" and 3/8" size allens. Sincerely disappointed in the quality of this product. Would not recommend husky

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ball end snapped off Terrible. Ball end snap off on first use. Now I have to figure out how to get the end out of the flat head cap screw that is recessed. These are going to be returned.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Set for long reach Worked for what I needed them for very nicely. I thought they were a bit pricey and would like to see them sold individually instead of a set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handy set These come in and when you have to work on drive systems with components (sprockets, bearings) that are slightly out of reach.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent value for money. These long ball-end hex bit sockets are great. The socket itself is well made, they have the little scallop cut inside the drive end to engage the detent on the ratchet. Some cheap off brand tools don't have this and they don't stay on the ratchet very well. The bit itself is made of S2 tool steel which is extremely durable and strong. I've been using these on almost a daily basis and they've held up as well as any of my other more expensive (brand that starts with an S) tools. If this set had a 10MM instead of a 9MM it would be better but for the price I can't complain. For professional auto technicians and shadetree mechanics alike, these are a must have.
