Customer Questions & Answers

there is no information in the document that came with the regulator explaining which knob does what. I cannot get it to work.

Asked by: redwhiteblue55
I had a wack of paper work with mine. being an old timer I did not look at it:>) I pulled up on the top and screwed it down until the pressure rose to the pressure I wanted, and then pushed it back down into the castellated keepers. It does have to have pressure in the line, and the input air and the output air have to be on the correct side as indicated by the airflow arrows on the top.

Very reasonable price for a home use regulator. I have been using it to feed a Bostitch floor nailer for a few days. One area of improvement could be the pressure gauge. It is fairly small diameter (1.5 inch) making it harder to read by old farts like me and since it is mounted on a horizontal tank it would have been nice for it to have been a bottom connection gauge rather than a center-back connection so one doesn't have to stoop over to read the gauge. Yes, I can fix this with a three-inch nipple and an elbow but . . . . .

I swapped sides of the gauge and plug to orient the direction of flow for my application. When the adjustment knob is turned, the pressure rises quickly, but settles out too low. Then it gradually rises and settles out again and stays at that pressure. So, adjusting the pressure takes longer than necessary and I feel the need to double-check the pressure before connecting any tools. Actual pressure regulation is fine and it recovers quickly when you use tools. For the money, it is adequate for the job.

The cheaper husky was so poorly made, I had to return it. Husky is no longer Husky. Somebody just stole the name. Home depot is to blame too. This is the only brand they carry for air regulators.
