Yes, it has a lock mechanism that prevents the drawers from opening providing they are pushed in all the way.

Answer:
In order for the drawers to stay closed, you must close them completely with the lid OPEN. Once all the drawers are closed, shut the lid. As the lid is closed, the lock bar secures the drawers in the closed position. At this point you can lock the unit if you choose.
Conversely, you will not be able to open the drawers until the lid is re-opened.

I bought one and it only comes in black. I shop at Home Depot and have never saw any pink toolboxes. You can find red toolboxes. Maybe somewhere you can custom order in pink.

Answer:
Yes the handle on my toolbox is plastic. I leave my toolbox on a shelf so no problems with handle breakage. If you carry your toolbox I would make sure that the handle is good quality steel. You should be able to find a toolbox with a steel handle. Contact or go to Home Depot and they will get you the right toolbox!!

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 110 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quality Toolbox; Good Value Basic tool box with top drawer and three pull out drawers. Bought it for our daughter. Pull out drawers are secured when fully closed before closing lid. May 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value This is a great little tool chest. I was able to fit a 300+ piece tool set in it so it's really not that little. March 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Husky tool box This product is constructed well. When I ordered this from my local Home Depot I was told that it had a removable top tray, which is what I wanted. This product does NOT have a removable tray. I was very disappointed. This tool box is heavy for being small, so if you want it for heavy tools keep that in mind. March 22, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't last everyday use This box didn't last the everyday use. First, one of the chrome latch broke. Then the middle drawer stopped closing or opening due to the bearings falling out. If you just want to store tools that won't be used often then you might consider this box. March 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cheaper I love the box butI should have looked in the store I would come out cheaper.. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by For work Bought this tool box for work an it's great! Gets the job done an hold all the tools i need for my work February 22, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good tool chest It takes kne spill to realize how far the drawers need to be pushed in so that they are locked. Could be a little easier to latch February 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Check this out Was looking for a decent/cheap tool box to send the boys off into the world with. Just need it to hold a basic set of tools to work on cars with an still be portable. Took much longer to find one that wasn't $100+ and yet didn't feel like it was made of tin foil. This box fits the bill, drawers actually open and close unlike the craftsman box and its heavier metal, long story short this is a cheap tool box but it's every bit as good as the $120 - $190 dollar boxes I looked at and better then some of them. Holds enough to handle 1/2" shallow and deep metric, 1/2" shallow Std sockets,1/4" deep metric and Std. Full set of metric and Std wrenches to 24mm and 1-5/16, plus pliers, vice grips, pry bar, ball peen and some miscellaneus tools. I was happy enough with it I bought one for the little brother too. It will be ready to go when he is. January 26, 2016
