I've had this for almost 2 years now. I was pretty happy with this thing in the beginning considering the price I paid (got it on sale). Also for the fact that it did it's job pretty well. First off, the accessories it comes with are next to useless and have since replaced them all except the blow gun but that is next. The hose is very thin, doesn't stretch far at all and got brittle and cracked within 3 months. The nozzles both snapped in the blow gun with regular use. As for the compressor itself, It's a bit on the loud side considering it's size. It just recently started leaking oil from the PLASTIC oil sight plug. I realized it had melted when I tried to tighten it with my fingers and the top snapped and separated from the threads. I'm sure it would have fallen out with enough time. Going to try and find a new plug that isn't plastic and is the same size with the same threads. I hate to say it but, if I can't, then this compressor is useless to me.

Nice small oil compressor unit for DIY'ers. Almost every neg review on this site has to do with the plastic oil sight but it is a trivial fix:
Replace plastic oil sight with a metal and glass one. I got mine on line for ~$6 (including shipping). Here is what you need:
-metal and glass oil sight
-Should be 1/2" PT (pipe thread) or MIP (male, iron pipe)
This will take care of the problems listed in the reviews.
Someone asked about how much oil is needed: it takes 3oz or 90mL of oil. Use SAE 10W for unheated/outdoor use.
Can't speak to durability yet.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by CheesePatrol Kind of loud, accessories are OK
I've been using this little compressor for a short time now. So far I've only used it for tire inflation and cleaning parts with the blow gun attachment. The CFM rating is low, so there aren't too many tools you can use with it. The size is great given that I have some space constraints in my garage - it fits fine on one of my shelves. It also seems sturdy and doesn't weigh too much. While it works for my purposes, I do have some gripes.
First of all, its a bit loud and the last time I used the blow gun, the compressor was kicking on rather frequently. Secondly, the accessories are just OK. One big gripe with them is that only ONE male quick connect is included, so if you want to switch between the blow gun and tire chuck, you need to swap the quick connect between the two. Why two of these weren't included is beyond me. My second gripe with the accessories is the blow gun. I've only used it a few times and it leaks air. It also would've been great if it included a nozzle to better focus the air. A better blow gun and an extra chuck is in my immediate future.
All in all, not a bad little unit as long as you keep in mind that its for very light duty use.

I've had this compressor for about two weeks now and am pleasantly surprised at how quickly the tank fills and recovers. Part of that is due of course to the 3 gallon capacity, but I'm planning to pair it to a 7 gallon reserve tank I have, and have no doubt it perform well even at 10 gallons. The only things I'd imagine it wouldn't keep up with are automotive air tools. It is fairly quiet for it's power, and has a low throaty sound. Very appropriate for indoor work. It's also heavier than it looks, which may be bad for some, but to me is good. I bought this because I needed a small portable compressor, and I hate loud oiless models.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rick Oil Level Sight Glass Deteriorated and Leaks
Purchased about 6 months ago. When I bought it, the Home Depot website showed it had "an aluminum tank" which proved to be untrue. I called Home Depot and they changed it to a steel tank.
Yesterday, I noticed oil on my garage floor under the air compressor. Upon inspection I discovered the cheap (PLASTIC) oil level sight glass had deteriorated and is leaking oil. I tried to remove the sight glass for inspection, and it broke off - threads separated from the head. Now, I cannot figure out the size to replace it. The parts manual show what the item is named, yet does not show the size of the threads. Air compressor is now OUT OF ORDER until I can figure out how to fix. If you own one of these, you should check your sight glass oil. I cannot recommed this item.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by StageMan1 Good Compressor...one slight problem
The compressor was an excellent buy. It has but one draw back: the plastic oil level sight began leaking after the second use. The plastic base was cracked. (I may have over tightened it. I don't believe that to be the case, but it is a possibility.)
I spent $ 5 on line and purchased a steel replacement, and all is well. It is too bad that there is no replacement available through The Home Depot. A part # exists, but no apparent way of ordering one. I had to buy it from a third party. Overall, however, the compressor is a good buy and functions well.

After it warms up, it will bog down and start running slow. It blows the circuit breaker in my house and cannot be run on an extension cord. I would not recommend this product.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ScoobyDoo Well worth the money!
It was not an easy task to find a oil lubed small portable air compressor for a descent price. Found this one figured i would give it a try! Well worth the money! We shot over 2000 staples and nails into our shed that the cedar siding was beginning to fall off of. Worked like a charm! Fast fill time and considearably quiter than an old porter cable pancake we rented. Overall i give this a A+++++++ review.....
THe only con i can think of is it's airflow limit. Perfect for nailers etc. will not work for ratches or cut off tools.....
