Answer:
No, sorry. It is not hinged like that, but you might replace the hinges with something they have in-store.

Nope. The angle of the molded hinges prevent it from opening more than what's shown in the photo.

Answer:
There is a support rod in the back that keeps the lid from collapsing instead of a set of straps fastened to the lid and base as in the larger (37in/50gal) version of this Job box.
The rod isn't removable, or at least doesn't look like it should be removed!

The only silver metal pieces I can see from the pictures are the two locking levers and the axle rod between the wheels. If this is not what you are referring to, please take a picture of it and post another questions with the picture, and we will get you the answer.

Would like to put everything in one case instead of several I have for my other RC parts and tools. Also has anyone found a source for a foam insert that can be custom cut or with removable blocks of foam?

Answer:
Yes, Drnes in SC did a nice video that shows the few cuts you need to make to allow the Q500 to fit with props attached. Just go to You Tube and search Drones in SC

I do not know about a Drone but, I do have four full sized ammo boxes and one 1/2 size ammo box with enough head room for 4 pistol cases on top of them. you might want to go to a Home Depot and actually measure the inside.

Yes. Everything fits including the controller, charger, and some tools. You have to cut away the foam packing that came with the Q500 so you don't have to remove the blades.

Answer:
Yes, it is great for carrying tools but you should design some type of separations on the inside. There are several options for sizes some deeper, longer or shorter and more compact. I would go inside a store as they keep many selections. Much nicer than the old styles that I was afraid that was all I had to pick from.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This box holds all my stuff for my Typhoon G quadcopter I was looking for a way to carry all the stuff for my Typhoon G. It holds all the batteries, the controller, the wind meter, flight log, battery checker, battery chargers, extra props, back pack with all the cameras in it. It is light and easy to carry with the handle bar and wheels. I love it! August 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great find - does the job I have looked for a long time for a sturdy hard sided case that will not only fit in my car but will also protect my products as I travel. I work for a lighting manufacturer and need to travel each week and take a load of samples with me. This case fits many products and keeps them protected. The handle and wheels make it easy to take from my trunk into customers buildings. I still need to figure out the right foam for the inside but this has been the best find for what I needed. I am very happy and would recommend. May 16, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great, solid product! I use this to safely transport a ~70lb telescope mount and counterweight. August 23, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Does the job - check internal measurement Ordered this to haul my guitar pedalboard. Does the job. Inside compromised by handles so fit is not perfect for my use but it is close and keeps my pedals secure. The board is 18" deep by 30" wide, made of aluminum and weighs 20+ pounds. Quality is good. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good box, bad clips I love this box. I have three total. The only problem is the clips fall off of it pretty easy. They can be attached a little better with zip ties or something but if not you'll probably lose them August 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value This job box is a good size for holding enough tools for a medium project and it fits in a car trunk. The large wheels make it easy to move around and the steel latches hold firm. It is also the perfect size for the Styrofoam inserts for the Yuneec quad-copter (drone). The job box provides good protection for anything that is inside of it. February 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great box for my truck bed I needed something portable to keep misc. items such as jumper cables, tow straps, tools, etc. It is portable and the extendable handle makes it easier to slide into the front of the bed. It can be used with a padlock for added security. Seems durable and well made. July 26, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I know why they call it a MOBILE job box The first time I loaded this thing up, and proceeded to walk it down the stairs nice and slow, the handle slid free of the box and I watched the job box become mobile. To its credit, the box held true as it hit the floor at the bottom of the stairs, but a job box this size really needs to have a handle you can use. July 1, 2016
