The 2x4 slots are for cutting them without them moving around, the V groove is for cutting pipe or round material so it don't roll around.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 183 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value in an extra large tool box This huge tool box holds every tool I want to secure when I'm away, including power tools. There are actually four places on the box that you can place Master locks or similar to secure the lid and there is a small key lock too built-in. If you have to leave the box on a job site you could use a cable lock and run it through one of the two lock holes provided and secure it then to a fix object. It's well designed. And I paid less than $60 for this tool box on sale so it is an excellent value and the construction is pretty heavy duty. I definitely recommend this product. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Quality Excellent quality materials and design - very functional product - bought two. September 7, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Husky 37 in. Mobile Job Box Initially bought to store hand an power tools. Until daughter borrowed it for college move in. This box is perfect for them compared to the flimsy foot chest(more expensive no wheels). Thick plastic, tough and can handle/support weight(50lbs est. don't stand on it).It locks and you can add an additional lock for security. I ended up buying three more to get my borrowed chest back from her. August 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Husky storage box It's exactly what I had hoped it would be like. Used it this weekend for the first time and loved it. It was easy to move around and very sturdy. August 31, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Box Husky 37 in. It is very capacious and practical recommend Very good box for tools August 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best for the price Quality built and 30 dollars under Dewalt alternative that was smaller and did not have an organizer tray included. August 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Durable trunk This trunk is very durable and well made. Stands up to the pounding of our horses and transporting it in the bed of the truck well. Only area I would fault the design is with the tool tray. It has holes for you to store things upright, but given the height of the handle you cannot close the lid with items stored in those holes. August 9, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great toolbox.... fits all my cordless powertools as intended I wanted a container that could be moved around and that fitted all my cordless powertools. this one does the trick great. good enough room to fit all tools including chargers and can connect them while keeping it locked.
