Answer:
It depends on your model number (there are two 41" 16-drawer units made by different manufacturers (HOTC4116B1QES and H4116CHTR). You can see the link to the owner's manual or use and care guide online near the product overview and the manual should give you a phone number to call for the correct customer service number for replacement parts.

Answer:
The model H4116CHTR also has secure latch drawer retention and the other model does not have a drawer retention system. There may be slight differences in the models since there are 2 different manufacturers of the 41" combo, but they are similar overall.

Answer:
There are 2 different manufacturers for these units. A couple of the noticeable differences are:
1. the knockouts for power cord on top cabinet - one has 2 KO's with grommets - the other has 1 KO and no grommet
2. where the top cabinet sits on rolling base - one has a lip with the top cabinet resting on top - the other sits flush to the base and attaches securely with a corner bracket (included).

My job requires me to move my box around the shop quite a bit. My last tool box didn't like being moved much and ended up tipping over. How well does this one roll around when loaded up with tools?

Differences in the holes for power cord

This question is from 41 in. 16-Drawer Tool Chest and Rolling Tool Cabinet Set, Black
Asked by

June 26, 2016
I noticed the other day looking at this box at Home Depot that there were two different boxes on display for the 41 inch. One had a single knock out in the left side of the top for a power cord and the other had one hole on either side that had the nice rubber flaps covering the hole. Other than that they were identical. Does anyone know if there are two different part numbers for this product or what it takes to get the nicer power cord holes?

Answer:
The newer models of the H4116CHTR should have the 2 grommets for the power cord pass-throughs. There are 2 manufacturers for the unit, so there are slight differences in construction.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 210 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Best for the money Great fit I haven't put all of my tools in yet but I love how sturdy it is. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because you have to use two different key for top and bottom and you aren't offered security screws to mount the top to the bottom. The top is perfect for my charging station as I use a lot of Dewalt 20v tools. March 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good Value for the Purchase Price, But... The first cabinet I received was relatively simple to assemble. Unfortunately, when I got it assembled I found that I was unable to open any of the lower drawers more than halfway. The locking mechanisms didn't work well either. Husky and Home Depot were easy to deal with. Since they couldn't resolve the issue by phone, they had me return the cabinet to my local store for replacement. Lucky I have a pickup truck. Then I had to go thru the whole assembly process again. BTW, they pack the unit very well but it results in a awful lot of cardboard and styrofoam to dispose of. The replacement unit works fine. The drawers work well, although it requires a firm push to get them in the last half inch. One last comment - every unit comes adhered with several large paper stickers meant for advertising on a floor model. Some pealed off well if I was careful. Others tore easily and left paper layers that only came off by soaking them with "GooGone". Overall, I'm happy enough even after the hassles because you can't beat the cost for a unit of this size and drawer configuration. March 1, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stickers all over it take more time to remove than it's worth. Earlier reviewer is right, cumbersome to transfer as it comes in two oversized boxes. My tool box was full of manufacturer stickers that did not remove easily and still are not fully removed after an hour of my time. The large lower right drawer does not open and I have to look into why. The tool box scratches very easily. The locking wheels lock, but still rotate, meaning the tool box still moves, even when the wheels are locked. The staff that helped me at Home Depot were very friendly and helpful getting the tool box loaded. But, the tool box really isn't worth the money or the hassles that come with it's lack of quality. This is my second poor experience with Home Depot in a row. I vowed not to return, but did ... Lesson learned. January 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 41 in. 16-drawer tool chest Store associates were very helpful with my choice and loading it into my truck. Toolbox is well built and easy to assemble.. August 2, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Check the box for damage I purchased mine for pickup at the store. Brought it home and discovered a few dings on the top unit and a dislodged hinge for the clam shell lid. The lid issue is probably a simple fix as the second rivet on the right side has failed and needs to be replaced. I happen to have a rivet gun, but can not locate it yet, hence the need for tool storage. Both units were well packaged, and the dings in the clam shell look to have been repaired at some point, touch up painted. Just a bit fustrating to think of taking back, as it is heavy and not a one person job. January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dented bottom box I typically swear by Home Depot products. I'd been shopping for a tool box for about 3 months. What I had been looking for was a dented floor model. I thought I'd found that in the store, but the salesperson would not allow any dollars off purchase, but offered me a new one that they had in the box. I made the purchase, and took it home to find a non dented shipping carton with a dented toolbox inside. Im not happy, but returning it to the store is too much of a runaround. July 5, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Purchase Confusion but good product It's hard to beat this tool chest at this price. Others have more features but cost more, often while holding less. It was in perfect condition after unboxing at home and the assembly was easy if you have a helping hand to move to carry it. A key feature is the top area which is great for drills, drivers, and chargers. Buying this chest was confusing, though. The store had TWO models of Husky 41" tool chest at the same price. Looking at the two the differences were very difficult to spot. - The other one was slightly smaller, ~600 cubic inches - The smaller one had a rubber grommet to run you charger cords through vs a simple metal cutout - This, larger, one had a handle to lift the top lid while the smaller one had no handle. Other than the measurement difference none of the differences were clear so I choose the slightly larger one. Only later did I notice the smaller model has nicer drawer catches. This larger model has simple drawers where you push them closed and push hard to 'lock' the drawer so it won't open easily, such as if you are rolling it around. The smaller model's drawers would pull the drawer shut if once you push it to about 1/2 inch of being completely closed. My guess is the other model has slightly smaller drawers to account for the more complex drawer sliders. In hindsight I would have preferred the other model slightly. It was very strange that Home Depot has two nearly identical models. It is worse that the differences aren't clearly stated to help address the confusing product line. If they only had one or the other I'd be completely happy with it but now I know there was a trade-off. July 19, 2016
