Rated 3 out of 5Â by AS80 Depends on what you need it for!
- As a big tool box, I rate it a 5 out o 5.
- I don't move it around too much (with stuff in it) as it feels too wobbly for my liking when I do so!
- The locking mechanism is a joke. It refuses to unlock, and I have to try and jiggle the key more than a few times to unlock it. One could easily break the key inside the lock if one isn't careful.
- The holes on the handle bar (used to move the workbench around) were not aligned with the holes on the bench which prevented me from installing it. (I could file the holes, if I really wanted to install it)
- But like I've mentioned, I only need it as a big tool box, and for that purpose I absolutely love it. For the price, it certainly is very good value!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by tockle This thing is awesome. I may buy a second one.
My first large tool box. I have had some smaller 26 inch upright ones, and they NEVER have enough room. This box is PERFECT for projects. The wood top is amazing for any power tools. I have installed and used my compound miter saw, spindle sander, and planer all on top of this box. It's the perfect height and since it is on wheel I can put everything along the wall of the garage until I need it. Then I roll in into the middle of the garage and am all set up.
Check out the organization in the pics!!!! Maybe a bit over board or OCD, but I LOVE IT!!! Everything in its place and easy to find.

Iâve always needed a mobile workbench, so I decided to get the Husky 46â 9-Drawer Mobile Workbench with Solid Top. The workbench arrived via freight delivery and was packed very well with no damage. Installation consisted of only installing the handle bar and casters. To get an idea on how well the unit is built, I removed some of the drawers and inspected the framing. What I discovered is discussed below:
The Good: The unit uses tubular columns to support the drawers and top surface, and the ball bearing slides work well. The two bottom drawers have four slides and could easily support loads greater than the 50 lb rating. The structural sheet metal is about 0.042â thick. The drawers are only about 0.031â thick, however, the turned-over edges increase the strength and rigidity. The ¾â wood top provides a nice smooth work surface.
The Bad: The main problem with this unit is the weak structural support on the bottom. It has a 575 lb weight capacity, however, I would not trust this box wheeling around that much weight. The casters are connected directly to the bottom sheet metal with minimal structural support. The weakest section is the bottom front, where the tubular support columns are not connect to the floor. The back side has more support, with the tubular columns connected to the floor directly above the casters.
This workbench is definitely not designed for professional use, however, it is suitable for the home use, as long as you donât wheel around heavy loads. I plan on making some simple enhancement, including adding a horizontal tubular support along the inside front edge, and a plywood bottom to evenly distribute the weight at the casters. It will add about 1â in height, but should greatly increase the strength.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by onezipcode Provides Excellent Tool Organization
This tool chest with built in workbench is perfect. 9 Drawers with bearing sliders hold all my tools in one easy access location. The two Bottom drawers are spacious enough to hold my Power tools too. Came well packaged fully assembled just bolt on the wheels for mobility and tubular handle for steering and your tools will go where you need to use them. Thank you Home Depot for this high quality product.

Minimal assembly needed. I had a little trouble in getting wrenches in to tighten the nuts on the wheels. Appears to be strong and fairly well built. The "solid wood top" is actually misleading. Although the top looks like wood, it is actually metal with a wood-like finish. Overall, it met my needs to organize my tools at a fairly reasonable cost.
