I just bought an older house and am doing my living areas and kitchen in a very industrial/factory type concept. Exposed red brick, concrete floors, commercial lighting, ne paint etc. Before I can get to all that I needed some additional storage. This unit was on sale and stocked in the store. It made the perfect rolling island for the kitchen and a fraction of the cost of actual islands. It practically holds half the kitchen in it.
The last Husky tool chest I bought (about 12 years ago, still have it) was in a million pieces and took a few hours to put together. This came out of the box ready to go except for the wheels and handle. That made my day.
This isn't a chest to beat on everyday. There are other companies that make tool chests for that. Just take the price of this box and literally multiply by 10. This will dent easy and my older Husky box seems to have a heavier gauge steel. I can see this chest getting the job done for an average weekend warrior or someone just starting to get there hands greasy.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Rafat Exactly what i needed for work @ a great price
All drawers have ball bearing movements. I keep some heavy tools for aircraft sheetmetal repairs and its holding them with no problem. Each drawer moves smooth.

I have been wanting a rolling chest for years but the price was prohibitive! This it sturdy and well built. Big wheels makes it easy to move and the wood top is great! Definitely helped unclutter my workshop.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by TrailRunner Examine carefully before leaving store!!!
I purchased this tool chest yesterday at my local HD store. After reading other reviews, I looked carefully at the packaging, and picked out one that had no indications of any damage. At the checkout, my paranoia got the better of me and I asked the clerk to open the packaging up so I could examine the box for damage. She cut the packing straps and I quickly gave the box a quick once over... TOO QUICK!!! I missed a corner that had been hit, and judging from the undamaged packing carton, I would say this happened in the factory, not in transit. I discovered it (actually my wife did) when we completely unboxed it at home. I contemplated returning it, but the drawers all work fine, and it is just a home storage box. Packing up and returning something this heavy and awkward for what amounts to cosmetic damage is not worth my time. I don't blame HD for this, as I had the opportunity to see the damage at the store and missed it. It is disappointing that Husky's quality control let the box through with damage that should have been clearly evident to an inspector.
So about the chest itself. I have owned both Snap On and MAC chests. No comparison obviously, but for a homeowner with a decent collection of tools this chest isn't bad. Drawers slide ok, casters aren't bad, and the box looks pretty good, aside from the dented corner. Constructed of pretty thin metal, so don't bump it into something and expect it to emerge unscathed. I have a pretty extensive tool collection, so drawers are loaded fairly heavy with no sign of sagging/binding. Chest rolls smoothly on the casters.
Bottom line, if you're a pro you'd be better served spending your dollars on a higher quality chest. For a homeowner who has the usual homeowner odds and ends, this box is an amazing value, in my humble opinion. Just be sure to open it up at the store and look over THOROUGHLY before lugging it home.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Capso Perfect for art supply storage.
I bought this tool box to solve a problem. To remove a mental thorn, and visual distraction.
I was tired of how cluttered my art area appeared, no matter how organized I tried to get it. I had no budget, and was "pricing" cabinets or shelving for possible future purchase for about 3 moths running.
I had by chance, went to the home depot store one weekend. The intention, was to purchase new rollers for my arcadia door, and I noticed some cabinets were on sale. I started to price cabinet storage options as i did many times before, and was on my way to the back of the store where other cabinet options were. That is when I stumbled upon the toolbox section.
I had been there before. Seen the boxes. But I was looking for heavy tools storage back then, as I was dismantling cars for a living. This time was different. I was in a different mindset, with different utility needs than before. I was stuck in that section for almost a half hour...
I never did get the rollers, and after seeing the toolbox options, was no longer interested in cabinets or shelving. I spent more than anticipated, but feel I got every cent of value possible.
Ive been using the box now for a month. Ive noticed I never experienced buyers remorse after buying it. This is something I ALWAYS get even with eggs, bread, milk.
In short, I have a soothingly satisfied feeling after purchasing something, which I cant recall happening in a long time. Ever even.
