This is a tough one. I really like the functionality of the glass drawers, and the size/volume of the unit. However, the product quality is not very good. There are also a few design flaws. I did get it for a really good sale price (two fifty), but would rather have paid normal price for a better quality version.
A couple things not apparent/correct from the page infoâ¦
~ The photo on the web page shows a lighted switch, but it has a non-lighted switch.
~ The handle and caster wheels can be put on either end (manual doesn't mention it).
~ The glass on the large drawers stay on the drawers, they donât lift up like the shorter drawers.
First, itâs packaged poorly. This resulted in multiple cosmetic issues. Chipped paint in multiple places, several edges bent/distorted, and the glass on one of the doors was out of track. The drawer handles did not have any plastic film on them, so they rubbed on the inside of the box during shipping, scuffing them up. Also, due to the way parts were stored in one of the bottom drawers, one of the drawer pads was damaged. Also, one of the pads missing, so only 9 drawers of the 10 have a pad.
Quality wise, this unit is quite weak for what it is. Metal is too thin, bends and flexes far too easily. Structural reinforcements are missing or not sufficient, for example, the handle is bolted to the side sheet metal where there is no structural reinforcement, so handle easily flexes, twisting the entire side panel sheet metal. For the wheels, it came with two structural rails, however they only travel length wise and have a bend on only one side, so wheel frames still flex inward/outward when moving it around.
In several places the powder coating is horrible, missing or so thin you see the metal.
The plastic frames around the glass are weak and of a cheap plastic. Two of the drawers, the plastic is bowed and does not hold the glass correctly. It's like heat or something made the plastic change shape/stretch.
Not a big issue, but the manual has what looks like hand drawings and been Xeroxed about a dozen times. It didn't mention the LED feature, but easy enough to realize to find the power port on the back of the unit and plug the included power adapter.
The placement of the LED's leaves a lot to be desired. Iâm surprised these are not along the sides of the drawers, which would provide much better visibility. Also, the power port for the LED power adapter is placed in one of the worst places. Itâs on the back of the unit, sticking about 1.5 inches straight out the back, meaning the entire unit has to remain about 1-1.5 inches away from a wall else you will crush/break the connector, which is weak plastic and loose connecting to start with. A simple 90 degree plug on the power cord would help tremendously, however it would have been best if it was recessed, or on the bottom or something. A small issue, the cord on the power adapter is too short. It is just long enough to get the adapter above the wood top (3 ft max), limiting placement, many will need an extension cord when an outlet is only a foot or two away.
Overall though, this unit is best used for light duty and where it remains stationary most of the time. The glass is good for usage, but is poor for security, so wouldn't recommend it for places where security is a concern.
Now for the good. Like I said, the idea behind the unit is great. Glass drawer fronts is a great idea. On the shorter drawers, the glass is not attached to the drawer, so as you pull the drawer out, the glass lifts up, giving you drawers that have very low front edges which I like.
I also like that the glass is glass, not plastic. So there is no distortion, easy to clean, and wonât fade or anything over time. Itâs tempered glass, so is relatively strong (like car glass). The ball bearing drawer slides are super smooth even with loaded drawers. The LED concept is good and even in the poor location at the back of the drawers, they do provide benefit, they just could have been so much better if located on sides or front of drawers.
The wood top is nice. Itâs solid wood (not MDF) and both sides can be used. The wheels and the wheel frames are quite sturdy.
Itâs made in the USA. Not the best example of USA made products, but still always a plus.
I got the unit for cheap. Iâm going to keep it and make some modifications to make it better. Iâm going to cut a piece of plywood that covers the entire bottom and put it between the unit and frame rails/wheels. This will strengthen it greatly by distributing the weight better across the bottom sheet metal. Iâm also going to relocate the power port so the unit can sit flush against the wall. Iâm also going to investigate moving the lights to different location, either towards the front of the drawers, or on their sides. Iâm also going to see about structurally supporting the inside area where the handle is, or maybe adding a piece of plywood to the entire side and putting the handle on it (with longer bolts going through it and into the sheet metal threaded holes), then I can also mount hooks/brackets to the wood to hang items on the side.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by DIYer Decent DIY mobile workbench
This seems to be a cheaply made, low quality product, but suits my needs.
I like the number of drawers, but the glass front seems gimmicky to me and the LEDs don't really light the drawer well and are completely useless when the drawer is open. I would have liked to see them side-mounted near the front of each drawer so they would still provide light inside the drawer when it is open.
I had to adjust a few of the glass fronts, as they were installed askew and catching on the drawer above, preventing easy opening and closing. The plastic guides that hold them in place are extremely low quality and do not fit correctly. I had to modify them a bit to make the glass fit properly.
The plug for the LEDs sticks straight out from the back of the cabinet on the lower left corner, preventing the unit from being pushed flat against a wall. I pulled out the connector and taped it in place on the back of the cabinet so it now hangs downward and allows me to push the cabinet closer to the wall. It now is out only about a quarter inch. I may pull the wire a little further so that the plug hangs below the unit, allowing me to push it all the way against the wall.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by TLM1 Beautiful looking but poorly constructed
Purchased the Mobile Work Center two weeks ago and, immediately, experienced problems with it. The major problem was the drawer roller assemblies are poorly contructed and fall apart. Now I have one drawer that I cannot use. Notified manufacture about problem and received a call from Husky telling me to sit tight and they would have a representative call me, to tell me, how it could be fixed No call yet!
I like the Mobile Work Center because it fits my needs and would like to keep it, if at all possible.
Disappointed with Home Depot for stocking this product and Husky for not standing behind
I'll spend my Father's Day empting the Mobile Work Center to take it back to Home Depot.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Pete Excellent value for this workshop chest
The chest is easy to assemble and excellent for tool storage. Although the steel is not especially heavy, it handles my drills, planes, etc. nicely. The clear drawer fronts are very nice since you don't need to worry about labeling the drawers. Although the interior lights are fun, they don't really have much practical use.
