I decided to purchase one of these for my home office first before considering getting two more units for my workshop. Based on the reviews here (and the pix), the box looked like good value to me. HD did not have any in store close to where I live (I guess Houston is not big enough of a city to keep it in stock :P ). So i purchased it online and had it shipped to the store for me to pick up. Took about 2 weeks before I received a note from HD that it had come in, even though the website tracking showed it had arrived earlier.
Anyways, The box comes almost fully assembled (all left to do is the push bar attachment). Checked the unit at the store with store personnel present and all looked good (no damage). I strongly recommend to do this as these boxes are not built to withstand even the slightest of drops. This is from personal experience in the past with Craftsmans. This goes for all tool boxes though, even Snap-Ons. It is just the way they are designed. When you check at the store with a store rep, there is no need to convince them later that it was already damaged before you got home, no need to bring it back to the store, no need to discard all the packaging, etc. Saves you a lot of trouble.
At home, I removed the wheels before placing it in my office, for esthetics. Also, did not install the handle for same reason. I put some liners in to prevent stuff from rolling around.
The drawing size distribution is very balanced. You get 4 shallow size, three medium depth (incl the top drawer) and 2 deep ones for larger items. The bamboo top is an added bonus for me as you normally do not get a nice top cover like this. I don't think the casters will hold up in a shop environment if used (by rolling around) every day. The casters are made of plastic and that is not a material that handles load and stress over longer periods of time. I would recommend either to not stuff it full with heavy items, or leaving the box in one place in your shop. The two i will get for my shop will only carry spare parts for my vehicles and those are a lot lighter than a comparable volume of tools.
Overall, a very nice above average quality tool box for a very good price. Highly recommend replacing the casters with steel ones and you'll have a winner in my book.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Chris Great box at ridiculous price.
Iâm a gray beard whoâs been around and done just about everything. From automotive work, to machine shops to the gold fields of Alaska, Iâve pretty much done it all. And this box is the best tool value Iâve ran across in a long time. At just a little over $400 with shipping (delivered right to me) and tax, this bench/box compares to others twice or three times the price. It looks just as tough as my 50 year old snap-on chest Iâve been dragging around since 1972. Will it hold up like the snap-no? Donât know yet, but from the way itâs built, it should. And hereâs the fun part, I paid less for it than I did for my snap-on chest in 1972 when I was making $4.35 an hour as a journeyman mechanic.
If you need a large tool box that doubles as a work bench, I highly recommend getting this one.

I had done a lot of shopping online and comparing prices for boxes in the same size. This box was the best quality box with all the right features I was looking for and had the lowest price.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ErinS Bet you didnât know this was a jewelry box
Definitely not just for the garage, these workbenches are uber-functional and look fab in my new jewelry studio. Bunches of shallow drawers are perfectly sized to showcase all the sparkly stuff as well as organizing the tools. Drawers glide easily, even when loaded down with piles of shiny rocks, metal and wire. Plus, the price is friendly enough that a girl can still afford to go shoe shopping after this purchase. From now on, Iâll be thinking INSIDE the box. Storage is a girlâs best friend!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ClassicGarage A lot of space for not a lot of money
The 9 drawer 52 in. mobile work bench is perfect, if you have a lot of tools, and not a lot of space. The heavy duty gliders allow for full extension of the drawers, and solid work surface, makes having access to your tools and access to your work, a perfect combination. The huge casters, allow me to move it anywhere I need it, and with the variation in drawer depth, itâs very versatile on what I can put where. I also added the tan cabinet liners from home depot to give me some contrast between my tools and the drawer bottom as well as providing a non- slip surface for my tools, allowing me to keep everything in its place and to know when something is missing. You'll need 5 rolls. The 52â mobile work bench allows you to have a lot of storage for even the smallest of spaces. Itâs a perfect buy for the price.
