I have to do a lot of fret work and I must thread the blade through a drilled hole before cutting, so I must change the blade quickly and often. How does one change the blade?

Unscrew the wooden handle - this "pops" the blade. If you slide JUST the blade through and THEN attach to the handle this would work - remember the bow in only abt 6" deep so be sure you can reach the drill hole WITH bow attached. If you have a lot of coping saw needs I would buy a better saw. This is good saw but not heavy duty. I used it to cope inside corners for molding-worked great for that. Pick up Read More

A Coping Saw is just the same for the last 50 years, it is old fashioned but still the way to go for trimming moldings at "inside" corners. My wife also finds it useful occasionally in her craft work. I was pleased with the price and also that spare blades were available right next to it.
