This Dual Action Sander works great, I am certified in Auto Body Repair, graduated from college. I have worked on many vehicles on the side for customers and also on customer vehicles for college. This tool works great and gets the job done. It does lock up if the metal grip piece above the sanding pad is pointed upward, all you have to do is move it in a different direction and it will resume working. Some people don't know this and think it is broken however that is not the case. If you are looking for a good tool for an economy level budget, this one is your best bet. Oil it daily and it will keep working for years to come.

Did not work out of the box. Found the socket head screw inside was loose, so I tightened it, and then it spun. Put a 40 grit disc on, touched the surface, and it flew off. Tried another with the same results. Figured it couldn't handle 40 grit, so tried 80...same result. Tried 120...same result. The sander is no good, and worse yet, the entire system can't work. Do not buy this. Thank goodness HD has a good return policy!!

Got this to use for some body work on my son's truck. Quit working within an hour so I exchanged for a new one. It does the job for light finish work but if doing jobs that require extended use, like stripping a hood or roof, then spend the extra money on something of higher quality. Not bad for an occasional home user. Keep oiled and problems should be minimal.

I got this sander to do some paint stripping on an old truck. Within 10 minutes it locked up. Back to the store it goes today. Bummed.

I plugged it in and it operated less than 60 seconds.
