Answer:
No... Wet sanding is a very delicate process and requires slow even back and forth strokes as opposed to figure 8 or circular type strokes. I have a attached a short article as a How-To for wet sanding.

good question. Auto parts stores, like autozone or advanced auto parts will have the adhesive pads you need to match this in their body section.

Answer:
We do not offer pads/bonnets for this application but I have seen these sanders used for buffing and polishing applications. Make sure you maintain the same pad size (6" pad or the counter weight will throw the balancer off) and can find a pad with a 5/16 x 24 threaded hub, you should be ok. Both of these tools run at 11,000 RPM but have built in regulators so you can slow them down for buffing and Read More

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Low vibration and efficient "motor". Low vibration during use. I have had budget d/a sanders before, that you could barely hold them still, or even hold them at all when running above half speed. This one was pretty smooth all the way up to full speed, which is too fast anyway. The paper begins to clog up quicker with no real benefit in performance. It was comfortable to use, with much lower vibration than previously owned budget sanders. The motor is also extremely efficient I found on the first use. Most previous budget sanders I've owned, have run out of compressor air within 5-10 minutes of use, and I would have to stop working to let the compressor catch up. With this sander I was able to operate for a half hour, when I decided to take a break. The compressor ran for about 5 minutes or less, before it shut off. Barring any unforeseen future wear that will change my perception, I call this a VERY good product for the price! The only drawback I could possibly see is a slightly awkward hand position while in use, but I can get used to that. It's not a Hutchins, but for $200 less I am fine with that. June 24, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product for the price Have used it several times works great kinda bulky but easy grip January 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good D/A at a great price The sander seems well constructed, is very light and the controls work well for this lefty. Only drawback is the air requirements. Although my compressor is rated about 5 scfm at 90psi, it still is not enough for this sander. The compressor runs constantly and the sander slows down but does keep spinning. I think the actual air requirements are closer to 8 scfm but under spec'ing the air requirements seems to be pretty common on less expensive D/As. That said, it's worth buying as long as you have a compressor that can keep up. November 3, 2015
