Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rusts immediately! Do not purchase! Wish that I had read reviews on this before i purchased. As others have stated, this knife is not stainless steel as it is meant to look. It has a coating on it that quickly wears off and it starts to rust immediately. Unfortunately I purchased the 4 inch one as well and its just as bad. Now I'm out 2 drywall knives that I will have to replace. It states on the sticker that it is guaranteed for life. I wonder what this means. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Drywall Knife HYDE Discontinued 6" knife handle style with rubber grip. Home Depot picked up design for their knives. The knife has great gripping properties which helps relieve hand fatigue and the blade is of high quality. I picked up several just in case of another design change:) February 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy but not straight I purchased this product for a retexturing project. I was using it with premixed lightweight joint compound. In the past, I have struggled with handles breaking off, but this held up fine. My only problem was that it wasn't perfectly flat, so I ended up with a slightly convex side and a slightly concave side. It was very subtle, but enough that it made usage a little more challenging. The texture technique I was using was similar to stucco. If I had the knife with the convex side against the wall it performed fine, but if it was flipped, the edges gouged a little. April 15, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rusted day one, annoying adhesive label This and probably ALL Husky hand tools, are coated to look like stainless steal, which they aren't. As others pointed out, these painter knives rust as soon as they get wet. They also put this obnoxious huge logo sticker right on the blade that does not come off, only until you start using it then there will be bits of label flaking off and messing up your Spackle. I'll stay away from Husky until they offer a durable line of painting tools, you know, professional. November 12, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rusting blade This tool came with a label that was difficult to remove. Considering it needs to have a smooth surface in order to obtain satisfactory results for spackeling, I had to use acetone to remove the label. Apparently, this caused a protective film on the metal to disolve, which now allows an unacceptably large amount of rust to occur, even after drying the blade thoroughly after use. February 5, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the first one i bought broke but the second one works great. not sure how the impact point is secured to the knife but it needs to be more secure. January 21, 2014
