I am a professional Contractor for 30 plus years, i have just about every tool there is regardless of brand. I buy quality tools that perform above and beyond. This particular tool holds up with the best of them and for the value that's amazing to say the least. this little saw and it replacement blades are incredible and reliable. I have many of them for for my crew. They are used daily and without failure. I highly recommend this tool. If you see any thing negative about them disregard... It cuts through everything like a hot knife through butter!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peter Great Tool, Great Value!!!
It may look like a light duty tool and perhaps it is! However, this little saw cuts like the best of them. Durable and reliable, blades are long lasting as are the readily available replacements blades. I use this tool daily cutting PVC, Conduit, etc. Hasn't failed me yet and i don't expect it to! And you can not beat he price!

I bought this hacksaw strictly to shorten the T-bolts on a toilet I installed. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I gave this a try. This hacksaw sawed right through the bolts without a pause. It's great to find a product that does what you need it to do but at a very low price. I highly recommend.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the blade fails to stay in spec, rendering this $5 hacksaw useless.
The blade is held and tightened by two opposing, hexagonal nuts which are recessed into the hacksaw frame. Unfortunately, there is ample room for the nuts to move within their respective recesses, causing the blade to "swing" side-to-side as you use the hacksaw.
The manufacturer of this hacksaw should enlarge these hexagonal nuts and/or reduce the size of the recesses to provide for a stiffer, sturdier hacksaw blade.

I have a lot of different cutting tools, but I wanted to purchase this so I don't have to drag the others out every time I needed to cut something small. It is near impossible to cut anything straight with this saw do to the horrible bending in the blades. 1x1 wood...bent the saw, plastic pvc....bent the saw, a stripped screw... bent the saw. Nothing that I cut with this saw could be cut straight. Hello garbage can, meet your new friend saw.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bear816 It worked........but...
I didn't really need the saw at the time of purchase. I bought it just in case I needed it in the future. Well, not long after, something came up around the house where I could use this little saw. The first blade broke within 6-7 strokes. Trust me......I know better than to muscle the saw, let it do the work. So I know it wasn't me.
I tried to cut a straight line, but that was impossible since the blade wouldn't stay straight. It wants to twist and that causes the saw to stray to one direction.
