A sturdy well made product that I used to lift 1,500 lbs with no problem. Worked smoothly after that task was finished.

The rubber cap on the screw side gimbaled foot peeled off as soon as I applied heavy pressure. I was clamping a repair plate to a truss when this happened.

get these 'old style' c clamps, they work better, fit around more objects and never wear out compared to some of the 'newfangled' style clamps

Works; what I needed. Used to hold 1.25" PVC pipe to a table for cutting-to-size for a project.

This line of clamps function well; they can give you a lot more compression than trigger style clamps. Woodworkers will have to do a little extra work. First, these clamps are shipped with a filthy film of grease on them. This is necessary to prevent the metal from rusting, but must be removed before you get them anywhere near your unfinished stock. Any solvent, such as paint thinner, and a little rubbing will clean them up nicely. In addition, the business ends of these clamps are all metal and will mare the surface of wood. I use small pieces of quarter inch plywood between the metal and my work piece to prevent this.
