I purchased my box in August of 2015. With in a month the drivers side latch quite working. I adjusted the pegs and nothing happened. I figured "no big deal.' I live in Northern Michigan. We get LOTS of snow. After the first snow fall I opened the box in the morning to start my work day. I was shacked by the amount of snow in it! All my tools where covered, My Oxy leather tool belt was covered. Just a mess. I purchased some sealer and that didn't help. All my hand tools are rusty now. I went to the local Home Depot, who I do around $500,000 a year in business with, And they wouldn't stand by the product at all. They told me if it was up to them they would stop selling them due to the amount of comlpaints. I understand that it was only a $300 tool box, You get what you pay for, Blah, Blah Blah. But come on!! The structure of the box is junk. Paper thin, Easy to dent and bend. Absoulute garbage! I went out today and spent the money on a nice box. It cost $900 but the quality is unmatched. AND the company offers a 5 year warranty on their product.

I've had two of these toolboxes, first one busted within a month of owning. second one worked quite well for a while. I've now had to box for right around 3 years now, and it hasn't held up as well as I had hoped. a bolt to the passenger side handle rattled out and caused it to swing around. it now has seized up completely. the lid also barely closes now and will let a little bit of water and dust in. all in all, it was a good toolbox when it was new, but it doesn't hold up all that well.

I bought this tool box a month ago, i loved it at first then i had trouble with the latches it wouldnt shut. I realized the problem was the pegs they came loose frim the factory wich makes no scence? Then the next priblem was snow would get in side so i figured if i played with the pegs it would make the door shut more and the seal would be shut, but when i adjusted the pegs the door wouldnt shut at all! So i added a peice pf weather strip to the front of the box so the snow wouldnt get in that worked but now the tool box dosent close right and the little door for the lock is open and water gets in and frezzes so the lock wont work. And when i first got the tool box i realized it had dents in the top of it and the lock is very very cheap. I would not buy this product ever again. For spending $300 i thought it would be nice its nit the construction of its good just not the latches or the lock!

I live in Canada and was absolutely in love with this box until we got a whole whack of snow. Now I'm sure the snow that is falling didn't get inside but while I was on the highway it let in an inch of snow. Other than that the box is built extremely well and installation was a breeze.

I have this box and a better built box both sitting in my garage right now. The better built box is a good box no doubt, but the Husky is built with slightly better quality and is much more rigid (especially the lid). It has a good seal, comes with mounting hardware (a little on the light duty side but better than nothing) and mine came with a sliding tool tray that fits very snug. My reason for four stars is the lock. Mine came out of the package with the locks hard to turn. I stuck a pocket knife in there to open the flap and squirted some WD-40 and now it turns smooth as butter. But my main complaint is you have to lock both side to keep the lid from opening. On the Husky when you lock it, it disengages the handle from the cross bar that works the latch (i.e the handle pulls freely and does not disengage the latch). So you have to lock each handle separately. Maybe they're all like this i dont know but it is a minor inconvenience. I've read complaints on here about the angled sides and how that wasted space. True it does eat up some space but my wheel wells would not allow the box to fit in my truck without it. If you dont like the angled sides buy a different box or look at it before you buy it. I like a 35' tape measure over a 25', so guess what i buy a 35 footer. Long story short it has a good thick rigid lid that easily closes, opens smooth and has a good seal (4" of snow last night bone dry on the inside).

Keep your receipt if you plan on purchasing! I returned two of them because the latching mechanism wouldn’t catch when trying to close on the lock side of the toolbox. Both were purchased unopened in original packaging. I really wanted to like this box.

Fantastic help at Home Depot. Install was a breeze and the product is very solid and well built. Couldn't be happier with it!
