This is a well made tool box,the aluminum is sturdy and the welds are well done and even threw out.Its a breeze to install with two simple tools,a tape measure and a 1/2 inch socket or wrench.Directions were easy to understand.and came with j hooks to install to the bed of the truck.the locks worked without binding and the handles work very well, when unlocked pull the handle and the lid opens with ease and no binding.the lid is sealed with automotive seals and will last a long time.
This box is deep an will carry about anything you want.
I couldn't ask for more and really recommend it.

The Husky 70 inch deep trunk box is a well designed and fit perfectly into my truck. The latches and locks worked fine without any issues. The box is super strong and lightweight because it is made from aluminum. Potential owners should keep in mind and research how to secure the box to their specific model truck.

This is the second Husky tool box I've owned and I have nothing but great things to say about this product. This tool box will not disappoint. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a durable, high quality tool box for their truck. My only recommendation is that you ditch the dinky "J-Hooks" that come with the box and go with stronger, more permanent hardware.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shinypenny Good Looking Truck Box
This deep truck box looks really nice, and the black diamond plate aluminum looks modern and upmarket, and is especially complementary to newer trucks.
The installation was easy, it is best to have a helper. The locks are sturdy and the pull handles are easy to use, and there are gas struts to aid in opening the box. The deep design gives you more storage space for larger items you need to lock up and want to keep out of view, and the extra space is something that's always nice to have.
The truck box arrived in perfect condition, with all packaging undamaged. The shipping company took great care when they delivered it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JerryY Can't beat it for the money!
This is my second Husky truck box. I thought the first one was pretty good for the price but this one is even better!
This truck box is aluminum which makes it easy for one person to lift and move this box around. It installs by using the two provided J hooks and bolts. the hook goes under the bed rail and uses tension to hold the box in place. I had my old box installed for a year and a half and it never went anywhere.
Two keys are provided and both handles lock for added security; my old box didn't.
Inside the box the lid is lined with a glued in seal to keep water out.
In terms of storage, this thing has plenty of space. I can fit a small welder and mask in there and a portable gas generator with gas can not to mention tools, tarps, chain, a come along, etc.
But I know I have everything I need safely and securely in that box. Its also great at Christmas when you need to hide presents.
In terms of durability these boxes hold up well. They will scratch and dent if you're rough with them. I've thrown some broken concrete and scrap lumber in the back before and it did a little bit of cosmetic damage but nothing major.
Can't beat it for the price and I highly recommend it!

This toolbox looks great and has excellent functionality. The top closes easily and the handles and locks work together in unison. The lightwieght aluminum construction is easy on gas mileage and gives the rustproof option all toolbox owners are looking for.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by JRMitch Could use a few improvements
This box looks and feels great. It fits nicely and comes with sticky back foam tape to put between bed rails and box. The hydraulic pistons have no problem opening the box lid and I like the feel of the handles. The locking mechanisms allow for only one side to be unlocked to access the inside so you don't have to unlock both sides.
Mounting is done with 2 J-bolts, one on each side. I think the manufacture could have used 2 on each side to allow for a more even mount as it kind of pulls down the metal when installing, also I would use fender washers instead of the provided flat washers. This can be easily overcome by drilling 4 holes at the corners of the box and purchasing additional J-bolts from the hardware store.
The locks are sticky. I have used graphite powder in both to lubricate the tumblers and mechanism but the keys are hard to get in and out. They turn easily once in though.
Overall this is a good box and I would recommend it. Hopefully the locks will get better with use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by SouthernUtahBoy A great toolbox for my recreational needs.
I installed this on my 4x4 truck which I use recreationally. I only drive this truck a few times a year to go camping, fishing, off-roading, and sometimes hunting.
This toolbox looks great, but I didn't really buy it for looks since my old truck is not in the best condition anyways. It will probably outlast the life of my truck!
This toolbox is deep, which is great because I can store my tent, sleeping bag, air mattress, batteries, my lantern, ammunition, my guns (even my long rifle fits!!!), a 30 ft. tow rope, a blanket, matches, my tackle box, my heavy duty bottle jack, spare clothing, and my boots. One thing I LOVE is that when it rained, everything inside stayed DRY. I have had bad experiences with toolboxes (much older than this one), that had leaking problems. Not so with this one. It seals everything in nice and tight, and everything remains dry. Rain or driving through mud puddles is no longer a problem, since I used to just throw everything into the back of my truck with a tarp over it (which only provided a limited amount of protection.)
I appreciate the lock and key, with everyone on a buying frenzy these days for guns and ammunition, I can keep mine locked up safe and sound. Never have to worry about something going missing when I stop at a gas station and leave my truck for a few minutes. My dog is too friendly to scare anyone away :)
Even though I don't use this toolbox on the job, it would make a great toolbox for larger items that might not fit in a "low profile" toolbox. Just realize you'll be giving up a bit of your view behind you since this is a standard size toolbox, not a low profile one. Also, remember to throw something down in the bottom of the toolbox, like carpet or a rubber mat to protect the bottom layer of paint. I look forward to many years of enjoyment with this toolbox.
