No there is no center divider. However I would not buy the cabinets again. I bought them for my garage and they came dented very badly and scratched! You pay top dollar and it looks like you picked them up for 20 dollars at a garage sale.

You probably could, but I think that by taking out the shelves you would weaken the structural integrity of the unit. It may also be difficult to install a clothes rod if that was what you were thinking.

Even with the rear seats folded down, I doubt it. I have a 6 foot bed and it took every inch of it, both in length and width. It was even taller in the bed that I thought it was going to be, but that wasn't a problem for me.

It is shipped with about 1" packing banded all around it, and it comes on a pallet. I left the pallet at HD and laid it on its back in my trailer. The packing could also be removed, making it the exact size advertised.

Customer Reviews

72 in. H x 46 in. W x 24 in. D Welded Steel Floor Cabinet in Black/Gray is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Purchase for My Garage These cabinets are excellent! Here is my story. I wanted to update my garage and I always do a lot of research before I buy. My buddy has a full garage of Gladiator cabinets and he said 24" deep is the only way to go as it can fit larger totes and such. With that in mind I knew I wanted greater then 36" wide so the gladiators were out since they don't make that size (also I'm not a fan of their diamond plate doors). I was on the fence between these Husky's and some cabinets that Costco sells. I liked the Husky look a lot better but was nervous about some of the reviews regarding shipping damage, shelf capacity, and the door lock. I am pretty particular about these things but decided to go with the Husky due to looks and how it would match my new Husky tool chest. Boy am I glad I took the chance on these. They arrived in excellent condition and the packaging was far better than I expected. Maybe they've changed this based on reviews. I took a bunch of photos so I could show everyone what to expect. As far as the locks they work excellent but you have to level the box to avoid making it difficult to latch. Maybe that's why other people had problems. I loaded the center shelf with all my chemicals and liquids and it has not bowed or warped at all. The latch is still smooth and easy to operate. Maybe the shelf design has improved because it has a center support and I haven't had issues with loading them up. Another update on the shelves is that mine are supported by metal clips not plastic as some other people said. Again this may be an update or redsedign to address customer concerns. What's funny is there was a large not saying to remove the temporary plastic clips that are only for shipping so maybe people missed that? Long story short these are excellent cabinets. I bought two and now I'm going to order two more. Hopefully all the pictures I post help.

We ordered 4 of these cabinets. 2 of them you have to struggle pretty hard to get them to latch closed. The doors are pretty flimsy and are not even so you have to maneuver a bit to get the doors to close. I thought we would get a lot better quality for the price we paid. They look nice and do the job but it was definitely not worth the money.

I cannot recommend it however, because the latch is difficult to use. You have to push very hard on it to get the mechanism to connect. My wife cannot use it at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product This is a nice product. I'm using it for my video equipment which is all shapes and sizes, so the adjustable shelves is nice. The center shelf is fixed, so you will need to take that into account if you are trying to plan out the usage of space. The lock works well. The cabinet was delivered to my work in good condition. The only weakness with the cabinet is the thin metal doors. They secure only at the lock, so the tops and bottoms can be pried open if someone really wanted to get into the cabinet. Overall for the price the cabinet gets the job done. One bit of advice is to wait until the cabinet goes on sale. Home Depot seems to have been putting it on sale quite often this year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a good value Arrived in good condition which had been a problem for some. Pros: already assembled. Adjustable shelf positions, good colors, paint seems high quality. Cons: Very very thin steel, my kids could bend the doors with their hands. Ugly spot welds on front doors, will never really look nice (this is how its supposed to look).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing but headaches I ordered these cabinets. The first shipment was for three cabinets, one arrived and it was dented. I re-ordered the missing cabinets, three arrived this time, but one was dented. One was missing one of its feet, and one had the shelf mis-installed, so thin and such poor quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome sturdy cabinet so far.. This Husky cabinet is holding up great. The shelves could be questionable about how much weight they'll hold. Use some common sense when loading the shelves. For really heavy items, I've chosen the very bottom and that seems to really hold anything. Leveling is most important. I've heard in other reviews that the latch is not great, well the latch works fine if the cabinet is level. Use the leveling feet with a level side to side and front to back and the latch works great. Really a nice cabinet free of any damage!
