I have had this product since September of 2013. I used this compressor to run a flooring nailer (hardwood floors), finish nail gun for crown molding and baseboard/quarter round in my entire house and at my commercial office building. This compressor has never had a problem with the electronic switch or motor. The oil site window is an added bonus as there is no plastic dipstick to remove to check compressor oil level. I regularly run over 150' of air hose off this system with no problems (3/8 line). Additionally, I recently (Feb. 2015) used this compressor to run a texture sprayer with drywall mud/ water combination for texturing all walls in my 2000 sq. ft. commercial office building. I will definitely purchase again for my next portable compressor.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jofaboards This Husky replaced a 21 gal compressor
I build custom speaker cabinets and pedalboards for guitar players and I had been using a HF 21 gallon compressor for quite some time. It started to go and then finally last week, that was it. I shopped around for a new compressor and I wanted one that would be able to do everything I need (finish nailing, framing, etc.). The product display at the Home Depot was very helpful in deciding which to get.
So I decided on the Husky 8 gal.
Amazing performance and so much less of a footprint than my mammoth 21 gal. Quieter running, doesn't get as hot and the PSI adjustment dial is dead on accurate.
Yes, it runs a bit more often because it doesn't have the 21 gal capacity but it only runs in short spurts. The great thing is that I can take it with me to do side jobs which makes me more efficient.
At $129 and with the backing of the Home Depot, this really is a heck of a product. Highly recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Poky Very good Value !
I tried with a Compressor from a competitor. and it was just slightly less expensive and had the hose and accessories to inflate and blow away debris. But it was poorly packed and was not good value. It was returned. Checked Home Depot found this and I bought it in the store. and the accessory kit as well. brought home and was very pleased to find it well packaged. and when up packed it was easy to put together it was already mostly assembled. the instruction book was well written. and all the features are well documented in the in the booklet also. It was up and working with the accessory kit and I am very pleased with this purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SoCalFurnitureMaker Great for the woodworking hobbyist
This compressor has done a great job powering my brad nailer, air hosing out the woodshop, and an HPLV paint sprayer. The oil got dirty quite swiftly, so I'll be doing an oil change soon. Hopefully it is related to cheap oil shipped with the project, and not the compressor itself. I am hoping this will be a valuable addition to my woodshop family for a long time.
The instruction manual is sloppy at best and it took a bit to really get the hang of using this thing, but it's fairly simple once you do.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Widowson Just what I needed
This was my first compressor purchase and really like this little 8 gallon comp. I haven't had the need for a compressor much but think I will be starting to use it more. I made all my connections with Teflon tape and I also ran the break in changed the oil and ran it again. I then changed the oil and it was ready to go. Assembly was very simple. The only con I find is they don't include information on how to adjust the pressure. I am new to owning compressors but not new to them. just thought they should give more info for the newbie since this really is a entry level compressor This is a very good compressor for only $99.99. Cant beat it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by No2bigsteelman Good compressor; but 1 hint
Bought this compressor 3 years ago. Used it for hobby spray painting, brad nailing and of course tire inflating. No problems, worked as expected but then I was nailing up some concrete forms in the back yard and the motor stalled out around 50 psi. Couldn't get it to fill up and 50 psi just doesn't do anything. Assumed I'd gotten my 100 bucks worth and went shopping for another and started looking at reviews, including ones about this compressor. One of the most common problems I read about in the most negative reviews was motor stalling and "humming" and not reaching pressure. Then 1 review mentioned the extension cord gage not being large enough/too long and motor not getting enough amps. I had been using an older cord 100' long. Moved compressor back in the garage, hooked my newer 20' extension cord and compressor ran like new again. So, keep that in mind. A few bad reviews mentioned cold weather stalling, but I painted some furniture in the garage in the winter (below 50( and never had a problem. For what I paid, compressor has been a great value.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by StainlessDriver Great Value for the Casual Mechanic
After going years without an air compressor, I did a great deal of research to find one that would meet my needs as a casual mechanic. I didn't need anything huge, but wanted it to run basic air tools without it constantly running out of air. The Husky 8-Gallon Portable Air Compressor did just that. It is easy to roll around my garage and doesn't take up much space.
