Answer:
I did not measure the actual amp draw but the specs say 22 amps. I wired the compressor with 8 gauge wire and a 30 amp breaker. Works great.

What is the wattage needed to run this compressor effectively at 240 volts single phase.

I need to know the start up wattage for this compressor. So that I know if my generator would be able to power this compressor during start up. I know that it is a 240 volt motor and it draws 22 amps which would be 5280 watts but is that under load of starting with air in tank?

Answer:
Not really sure why you want to run a stationary compressor from a portable generator but what I would do is call the manufacture of the generator that way you get it directly from the horses mouth so to say..

I'm leaking air from the outlet pressure valve adjuster knob.

The pressure cutoff switch isn't working because it runs until it gets to around 220 psi and the popoff valve opens to relieve the pressure.

I need to replace the black 3/8 line from the outlet pressure knob to the back of the popoff valve

Pump no: HS050000AV
Serial no: FH01100512

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Showed up with Big Air Leak Product performs well, but leaks air continuously from a fitting. We tried to tighten to no avail. This shows poor quality control on the manufacturer's end. Not a giant issue, but I still need to get a service person out to fix a brand new product. Not happy. January 2, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Watch out for cheap aluminum tubing! Look at the picture of this unit. See that copper tube connecting the motor to the tank? On newer models that has been switched to aluminum tubing as a cost-saving measure. Ours sheared off after one month of commercial use. Looking at the broken tubing, it was incredibly cheap and flimsy feeling for commercial grade. Luckily we had our old compressor still and were able to scavenge the copper tube from it. This is a strong compressor otherwise. If you purchase one, and see that aluminum tubing, start looking for a copper replacement piece because it will not hold up to steady usage. October 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent air compressor and buying experience After years of fighting with compressors that were too small to run my air tools properly I decided to buy a big compressor and plumb my home garage and shop. I researched everything I could find online and settled on this Husky machine for it's combination of features, price and availability. I ordered it online, paid with my credit card and it was on my doorstep in about a week even with an online credit card processing issue! The compressor does everything as advertised-it runs my air tools and plasma cutter perfectly. I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it and Home Depot to anyone. In addition I bought all of the black iron plumbing from Home Depot. They had everything I needed in stock! March 1, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not buy I didn't have it 3 years yet and the pump seized up. These were not 3 hard working years, the hardest being redoing my truck last year. The pump is under warranty, but I pay labor. I'd rather put the money into the IR like I wanted in the first place. Anybody want to buy a used compressor with a bad pump October 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by disappointment i had a cambell hausfeld compressor for 6 years in my shop, it went bad , actually caught fire, so I ordered this one on line , a choise between an ingersol rand which is better, when I got this husky , its made by cambell hausfeld, it work fine , for how long who knows September 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Work Horse This unit has out performed my expectations. It is currently running 10+ pneumatic air guns and 2 production lines for 50+ hours a week. The breakdowns I’ve had are: (1) The vibrations caused the air lines to rub against the safety net covering pulleys that caused holes and; (2) valves broke down after 3-4 years of non-stop use. These issues weren’t significant and were remedied by a quick trip to the hardware store. Stay on top of the maintenance and you won't be disappointed. October 15, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Spend Your Money On Something Else Junk plain and simple. Had to repair it the day it was delivered. A small hose was cheaply connected, but was easy to repair. Two months later the input line into the tank cracked and blew off. It was made of cheap aluminum. The next thing to go was the electric motor. This was after 6 months of light use and the correct amount of voltage to the unit. When I contacted HD to get warranty info they just sent me to Campbell Hausfeld. CH was nearly impossible to reach on the phone. I finally talked to a guy in my area(which I found on my own) that was a warranty center for CH and he said it could be up to a month before anything was repaired. Bottom line is save your money and buy an Ignersol Rand and be done.I ended up just buying another brand motor made in Ohio for $350.00. I could have bought a IR and not have had to work on anything. You may get a warranty but it is meant to be a pain so they don't have to warranty it. Cheaper is not always cheaper. March 13, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best reliable bang for your buck Ordered this compressor and had my electrician brother hook it up for me, great powerful compressor, for first timers make sure you look into regulators and water/air seperators fittings and all that good stuff, does not come with any cords/wire so you have to go out and buy some, def recom. This to everyone, btw I opened up a snapon catalog today and saw a 30 gallon compressor for the same price.....I'd rather buy this one December 10, 2013
