CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This is a great compressor Im restoring a 1969 Camaro stipped down to bare metal.Ive used the unit to sandblast sand and paint the entire car not one problem always has plenty air never runs out.Just a great unit. December 17, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by huge Arrived to pick up compressor and looked very good. Was clean and not a scratch. When it came time to load it staff was under prepared for loading. There was trouble finding tools to get it free from the large base pallet. There was trouble rounding up staff to get compressor loaded. With there ham fisted poorly orchestrated loading effort an air cleaner was broken off. They supply line from the compressor to the tank was also damaged. No replacement air cleaner housing was offered. In fact once they knew it as broken they ignored that it had happened and once they could call it load they got out of there pretty fast. Once home with compressor unloaded I wad the weld the broken air cleaner base back together. Once that was completed and compressor wired up I tested to check if it worked. Compressor was not as loud as expected and built pressure very fast. June 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I'm an adiot I need to retract my previous review I wired the compressor straight to the motor not the auto switch after fixing it the compressor runs like a dream.its louder then I thought it would be but it pumps up fast .Should have read the BIG yellow sticker that says have a professional hook it up right on the off and auto switch .was just to excited to have it I shut off part of the brain and hooked it up wrong, smart enough to wait and see if it shut off and when it didn't I unplugged it and look for a fix April 20, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by broke down after one hour of uses waiting for two weeks and still no service would not recommend May 26, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Motor locked-up twice in 1st 90 dats Purchased this compressor to replace the old Campbell Hausfeld that ran in my shop for 12 years (pump replacement was no longer available). Within 1st week the unit locked-up. Since I had spent time and money anchoring to floor and plumbing I called authorized svc. and after waiting 2 weeks they came out to repair and determined it was a bad pressure switch. Waited 2 more weeks for parts to come in (purchased a portable back-up compressor by this time to get me by). Parts came in and after installed the unit still would not work. Tech. determined it was a bad motor so ordered a new one. After 2 more weeks new motor was installed. Compressor ran for 3 weeks and replacement motor locked-up. Returned to get my money back before 90 days was up. During this whole fiasco I learned that three manufacturers make this compressor for Husky (Campbell Hausfeld being one of them) and was told to make absolutely sure it was made by CH ...mine was not :( Buyer beware on this compressor. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Buy I recently purchased and so far it is what I wanted. I replaced a smaller twin cylinder compressor that couldn't keep up with my air tools. Although, it has to run constantly with grinders, this compressor does keep up (I use one grinder or sander at a time). I use the compressor in my home 2 car garage and I would advise ear protection being in the same space as where I work (I use ear buds and loud rock music). The compressor is bolted into the concrete floor (yes, you better bolt it down) and you can feel the vibration but nothing problematic. The tank drain is underneath and a little difficult to reach, maybe a remote drain kit is a possibility. I found this to be the best overall value for my home workshop for the price with free shipping and the best scfm at 90 psi in a non-commercial unit under $1,000.00 (I paid $849 for the Husky). Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Air Compressor Always has plenty air never runs out.Just a great unit. April 10, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific compressor! First delivered compressor had a bent/dimpled air-service line, but Home Depot was right there with a brand new replacement compressor the next day! Installation is a breeze....as the 220V wiring is very simple and easily accessible on the compressor switch. We have a medium/small repair shop and this compressor covers everything from our air-brushes to our 3/4 in. impacts and sand-blaster and doesn't even work up a sweat even when multi-tasking. Recovers quickly and doesn't make a great amount of noise considering it's size. Great unit! October 7, 2014
