It will be in a boat, stored in a Pelican case that does get some condensation inside.

Answer:
AA,
Our wrenches are completely chrome plated, which stands up very well to the elements. That being said salt water is one of the harshest elements that metals can be exposed to. If the tool is put away dry, and there is some sort of absorbent material (such as a tool box liner, or the Pelican foam inserts) then our wrench should stand up to these conditions.

9 mm 12-Point Metric Ratcheting Combination Wrench is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This set will Ratchet up your tool box I love these wrenches. The ratcheting function greatly helps in many ways. The guys on my crew are all jealous. Even had one guy offer to keep them on his truck for me. Just yesterday I installed a toilet and needed various sizes of wrenches. I used these to install the toilet and it helped so much. Especially when I tried to bolt the tank to the bowl. It was a Kohler toilet which had the three bolt pattern. The back bolt was hard to reach and not a lot of room to crank the wrench. But the ratcheting function did the trick. I have owned a Craftsmen set for over 25 years. The construction quality of these in my opinion surpasses my old set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy wrench Husky tools have become my favorites because of the quality and value, and the fact that they all have a lifetime warranty, which is becoming harder to find with other tool manufacturers these days. The ratcheting wrenches are a mush have for any mechanic or home owner, as it is a major time saver in any project. Also important is the play in the ratcheting mechanism, and this wrench is very tight, which allows for turning the nut in a low clearance area. These have a very strong feel to them, and I expect them to last for many years to come, but if something does happen to one, I know that Home Depot stands behind them, and so there are no worries.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome for Tight Spots! These wrenches are amazing for turning fasteners in hard to reach places. Instead of fumbling at placing the box end back on the nut or bolt head, the ratchet makes a once arduous task simple. I wish I had gotten these sooner, since they would have saved me so much time and frustration doing automotive work. The wrenches have the typical Husky quality with a lifetime guarantee. They feel plenty beefy, and the ratchet feels solid too. If it breaks, just bring it back to Home Depot for a replacement! I tested the ratchet out, and it does indeed have a 5° tooth engagement as claimed. However, there's enough backlash in the internal mechanism, along with a little bit of play on the fastener head that in practice you really need a 15° arc to effectively tighten a fastener. It's still pretty effective for turning fasteners that you can barely get to though, just know it's not actually 5° in practice. Another thing to keep in mind is that the box end on these wrenches is not angled like a standard combination wrench, it's straight. That's because the ratchet is not reversible, so you have to flip the wrench over to switch from tightening to loosening. There are some advantages to this, like allowing for fitting into a very shallow area for working. However, if your fastener is up against a surface, you might bang your knuckles a bit more than with a traditional wrench. Overall, these wrenches are a great tool at an awesome price, especially in the 20 piece metric/standard kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality Set These are really good quality wrenches. This is the first time I've had ratcheting wrenches and I can say that its worth it for how much easier it makes some jobs. I've used them for odd jobs around the house and for working on my motorcycle. I've dropped them a few times and still can't see any nicks or scratches on them. In addition to the size, there's also an arrow etched in them to show you the proper direction for the ratcheting end, so you don't have to guess. Note that neither end has any angle to it - its a completely flat wrench. If you are looking for good quality wrenches that will make the job easier, these fit the bill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Empty tool slot.... I set out to buy all of the Husky SAE ratcheting combination wrenches. Home Depot doesn't include all of them in a set and I figured I would pick them up one or two at a time as I visited the local store in Jacksonville, IL.. Turned out to be more trouble than it should have been. Seems the empty slots for some of the tools are never refilled ( and I was there day-to-day looking.) Had to order this one online. Not much problem with that but why don't they reorder in a timely manner here in Jacksonville, IL. ?? The wrenches are nice looking, but I have limited experience with using them. Sure would be nice if a company person paid attention to these reviews.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice product. This 12-point Husky wrench is approximately, at the greatest dimensions, 13" long, 2" wide, and 1/2" thick. I selected this to test on my Tilting Arbor Saw because my 12-point 15/16" wrench that is 12-1/4" long, 1-7/8" wide, and 1/2" thick has no ratchet. When replacing the blade I need to balance a piece of scrap wood and the wrench to remove and install the arbor nut. Without the ratchet I need to play around to get it in a good pushing or pulling spot which I've found annoying at times. The ratchet allows play between the 12-points so the juggling is no longer necessary. For me this is the advantage. The ratchet rotates in one direction meaning loosening is done in one direction and the ratchet must be flipped to tighten. Each side is engraved with a curved arrow to show you which way it rotates but just turning it with your fingers works too. The Husky has their trademark shiny finish and it's about twice as heavy as my other wrench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Wrenches These wrenches are an excellent addition to any toolbox. They're sturdy with a good weight and balance to them. The ratchet drive engages quickly at about 5 degrees & makes a quick drive. It locks on to hex bolts tightly for lots of torque. Their low profile makes them ideal to fit in tight spaces. The 1" wrench fits perfectly on the hex fitting of my oil filter cap style socket. I used to have to take the heat shield off to be able to remove the filter because an oil filter wrench or socket & ratchet wouldn't fit. With this wrench, I can now skip that step. Great set of wrenches!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality ratcheting mechanism! I had to write a review about this wrench set because there is one feature I particularly like about them. A lot of times I have dealt with faulty ratcheting mechanisms that either have too much play in them, or they seem to "slip" and not engage at all. This can cause a lot of frustration, and little progress on that bolt you are trying to tighten or loosen. I don't have that problem with these wrenches. There are frequent "clicks" as you tighten or loosen, which makes it so there is just the right amount of play in it. Another benefit is that it makes it easier to use these in tight spaces where you don't have a lot of freedom of movement. I will be purchasing more of these wrenches as I grow my tool selection.
