Answer:
I know mine shuts off when it reaches the max pressure
You can also set the exit valve to a desired max pressure so if you are airing up tires you can set the valve at 35 lbs or something like that so you dont overfill your tires
I would definitely buy mine again if i had the choice to do it over.

When pressure reaches the level you set it at, it stops automatically. When it goes belows that presure it starts back up automatically. But when you finish you hit the off button. And you open the pressure value. Not a big deal. I am glad I bought mine. I do not use a nail gun. I'd probably shoot myself in the foot!

When you reach the pressure you have set on the guage the compressor shuts off. It will run when the pressure drops to keep your setting. This is the only thing that I can think of when you mention automatic shut off.

I can not say this is absolute facts for this product, but it is my experiance in other industeries, the unit was sold and returned to the manufacture with a failure of some type. Then repaired and offered for sale as "reconditioned". Personal experiance is that reconditioned units have a much less chance of failing than a new unit.

Reconditioned means that something was wrong from the original manufacture... it was returned to the manufacturer who repaired (reconditioned) it. Should be as good as new. You can buy new but it will cost more money. I have had good luck with reconditioned items.

Factory Reconditioned Trim Plus 3-Gal. Portable Electric Air Compressor is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from this product is excellent for the price/compact and very powerful Just got my compressor today. First thing I did was fill up my RV tires, they were down a few pounds. This little machine was great! Took me no time to fill my 4 tires-machine goes to 150psi and turns off.its small and light enough to easily handle.Im going to put it in the RV.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good deal I got this compressor refurbished about a year ago. At the time it came with an 18 gauge nailer. Compressor works great for what is was intended for. It doesn't put out enough CFMs for most air tools, but is perfect for nail guns, inflating and blowing stuff off. It's a good size for portability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly fits my needs Got this for my wife (oh sure) to keep her tires pumped up to the right pressure. She loves her car and Mrs. independent didn't want to have to wait for me to keep things tip top. Also, it has plenty of capacity for any little jobs I might possibly want to borrow it for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good little compressor Good compressor. Nice and light to carry around and packs plenty of power for trim. I can only fire 3 shots out of my framing gun before it has to refill but I bought as a trim compressor so that is not really a problem. The complaints I have for this are: 1) REALLY loud. Really really really loud. There is no way you can talk with this thing in the same room. 2) Long refill time. For the price this is a fantastic compressor. Just dont expect to frame a basement with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goes where I need it. Great value for a small, portable, compressor with enough power to operate hundreds of tools. I used to pull around a bulky 20 gal compressor loaded with thick rubber hoses, what a chore. Now this little sweetie just rides on the back of my cart to the job. The price I paid is a real value for the quality of the compressor; snatch one if you get the chance!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good Good price it works like it said would. Fill a truck tire in minutes. It will run hand tools but not great. If it lasts it will be a good investment.
Date published: 2013-01-29
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Motor burned out I really liked this compressor until the motor burned out about 2 days after the 1-year warranty expired. It was loud, but not too loud. Very light use - occasional car, truck and lawn mower tires only - maybe 10 times over the course of the year. Always stored indoors. Paid $100 so that's about $10 per use. I will not buy Husky again. Better to pay a little more for something that will last.
Date published: 2013-05-25
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent portable compressor... I bought this compressor as a refurbished unit. I have had good luck with it so far after a couple months of regular usage. The unit works reasonably well with a framing nailer, but the compressor kicks on about every 10 nails when driving 3.5" framing nails. Considering the price paid, I consider this a great value for most non-commercial users.
