Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by KauaiGuy Small Size File Set, Okay Value if that is what you need!
These files are small, at least the largest ones are probably about medium in size if you are buying them individually and a name brand. The do seem to work fine, although I haven't abused any of them yet! Seriously, if you use them correctly and take care of them, I think any file should do fine. I was able to sharpen a lawn mower blade with the largest file in the set with fine results. A larger file would of done it faster though.
Hard to say if this is a good value. If you only need one or two files, you will probably pay about the same as the full set and may never use the other files in the set!
Only time will tell on how I feel overall about the set, but thought a photo showing the size and teeth may help?

I bought these for coping trim, the size assortment and especially the price was well worth it!

These are not the best files you can buy.
But then, the whole set costs less than one 'pro' file, and you are getting just about every size and shape there is. For infrequent 'homeowner' use, that is much more useful than having one really good file that doesn't fit the job.
Likewise, for infrequent use, you could expect these to last a lifetime, and if they don't, at this price, you can't complain!
Some of mine came with a slight bow to them, which I actually find useful at times. Otherwise easily straightened in a vise with hand pressure.

You don't realize how good a new file is, as opposed to the old worn out ones you've been using, until you try these and the price was fantastic!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cmill For the price, how can you go wrong?
I used the bigger file to sharpen my mower blades, and the used a few other the other to sharpen some dull knives. These actually held up very well, and left a clean edge on everything I used them for. Even if you did only get one use out of them, a blade sharpening would cost at least $40 anyway...so what do you have to lose? I think for the price, this is a very nice set of file, and they even come with the handle.

They work for what I bought them for. Good for the DIYers.

It's a good mid grade set. If you can find something with a fixed handle, I'd lean towards that, but this is good.

The attachable handles do not grip the file and fall off with the slightest tension. The files are sharp but the handle is a waste of time.
