We go through a lot of knee pads in our professional concrete and deck overlays. We like the hard cap pads the best overall because of the hard shell. However, I would like to again, and again suggest to the Mfg. that they improve the design. 1. Make an indentation line for the sewing so the stitching thread cannot be worn off. 2. Eliminate the plastic strap clip extrusions. The little extrusions make it hard to un-clip the knee pad. We always cut them off. 3. Add more padding to the knee pad. We have to add our own carpet padding. 4. make the plastic thicker to prevent cracking the first couple of times they are used.

I have worn out a couple pairs of these over the last ten years laying flooring and prefer them to the more expensive models. I find them far more comfortable than the gel type, these breathe and don't get as hot. I did have issues at first with them staying put, but after I learned how to adjust the straps, I didn't have any more issues. Each pair has cracked at the top, but it hasn't affected how they work. The only real issue I've had with these is the metal clip has eventually broken on every pair after a lot of use. I tend to somehow land on it from time to time and eventually break it. But .. for $10, I don't see any reason to buy more expensive ones.

Over the last 10 year I must have bought 15 pairs maybe more ,The price is right ,the fit is good ,but right about the 10th time you put them on the strap breaks or the button breaks or the plastic cap splits in half one of the 3 . So $10 bucks gets you about 10 trys some times less ,one dollar for each use . I wish I kept all the pairs to send to Husky ,oh well .

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Knee savers Did the job, the very top of the plastic cracked the 1st day but didn't affect the overall performance of the knee pads. Was kneeling on gravel at job site and they did their job. End of the day my knees weren't hurting and was able to do my job a little faster by not worrying where I placed my knees

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved them I bought these to wear when I was doing endangered bird surveys. The surveys involved a lot of hiking in very rugged terrain, and a lot of crawling through brush on my knees on limestone rocks. These took a ton of abuse 5 days a week for 9 months. Would recommend.

One unexpected item is the straps chaffed on the back of the legs. Looks like most knee pads would tend to chafe.
