My particular application had dimensional restrictions and, surprisingly, this was the only four drawer that would fit. Coincidentally, it was also the cheapest and lightest. The value is excellent, and the ball bearing drawer slides are great at this price point, but let's face it, "light" is not necessarily a good thing in a stationary tool chest. If placed on an uneven surface, especially when loaded with tools, the box may flex enough that the drawers will drop off the slides or the drawer lock mechanism (actuated by the lid on top) may not function properly. Set it up flat, level and square though, and you should be good to go.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by snakebite121 Solid box, well made in the USA
3 Year warranty, Plenty of room for my needs. Top shelf is all 3/8 and 1/2 drive sockets, ratchets, extensions, etc. First drawer is wrenches, SAE and metric. Second drawer is screwdrivers. Third is assorted pliers. bottom drawer is 1/4 drive box sets and assorted tools. I will be getting a bottom roll box next for the bigger tools. I got this top chest on sale at our local Home Depot for $62.00 on sale. I couldn't be happier with the price and construction of this well made chest. All my tools are in order and easy to find. I used a rubber shelf liner and it keeps all the tools in place when moving the box. Put a nice coat of wax on it, grease the drawer rails and it will last for years.

I was shopping around for a starter tool box for my son. So many 'bargain' boxes are being made with such think metal that they won't support the weight of a drawer. I found this four-drawer chest at The Home Depot and liked the specs, went to look at it in person and was very surprised at how solid it seemed to be constructed. It also seemed to be sturdier than the five-drawer chest. Drawers are ball bearing and slide well. One of my criticisms of most cheaper boxes is that you can move the drawers from side to side when they are extended...there isn't enough rigidity in the slides. But not the case with this chest. I'm hoping it can be the building block of a solid tool chest for my son as he grows and gains more tools.

very nice chest. to sit on top of a larger canister-bottomed chest. Drawers operate smoothly and are just the right depth to hold stuff but not let it get covered over and lost.

Great product. Lives in bed of my truck and can take the abuse of stiff hitting it and still works great

for $10 more there is a 5 drawer husky chest that also has hydraulic hinges. I bought that one and returned this one. Would give my new purchase 5 stars

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by mike It provides ready access to my tools
The ball bearing rollers for the drawers mean that I can open and close them quickly and without binding. I can store tools of different types and reach them quickly when I need them. Don't have much to say about customer service and shipping. To paraphrase Julius Caesar: I ordered; they shipped; It arrived. No problems along the line. Empty box (very large) came in handy too as I had just lost a pet and needed something to bury him in. It all worked out.
