Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SSgt5813 Great Tools, wish the case was as tough
I got these tools for Black Friday 2 years ago, and they're still going strong on every job I put them through, including plenty of backyard mechanic work... the only complaint that I have is that all of the plastic latches on the case broke fairly quickly and easily, and so now it isn't as easy to transport my tools around, even just from where I keep them in my garage to where I need to work on one of my vehicles. I worry about losing some of my tools, but do not know of any solution... I doubt I can get new latches, or even a new case anywhere... and it isn't really in the cards for me to get a metal tool chest right now...

Great for the weekend DIY'er. Bought this set with no real intention on when I would use it, but has come in quite handy when it comes to working around the house and on the truck. Has almost all that you will need for a beginner/intermediate DIY'er, just missing a few adapters that you can easily pick up elsewhere. Another con is that the lid has no stap, so when you open it, it will fling open and the tools on the inside of the lid will fall out, so you have to hold it the whole time. But other than that, pretty good for the price.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rolo Great purchase other than getting one Craftsman socket in my set.
I purchased my tool set a few months back at the Roseville, CA store since the one in Yuba City was out. After getting home and opening my box, I noticed there was one socket different than the rest. Once I picked it up and looked, the socket ended up being a Craftsman socket. It threw me off for a bit but whatever I don't need to make a big deal about it. This kit has so much stuff and I purchased it to have in my BMW since we all know how "reliable" they are.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tony Great set and value
For many years as a professional and DIYer I have always stuck with Snap-On, Mac & Craftsman Tools both for the Quality and Warranty. When I started my mobile auto service my wife give me the set as a gift, I thought for sure that it would not last 6 months. Well I was very wrong it's been 3 years and the set is still looking great and preforming as if it was new. And while the case is not the best I have seen I was surprised that when two clips holding the top and bottom together broke was replaced at no-charge.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Greg What a diverse set!
What a great set! There isn't much that is missing from this tool set. What I really liked was the diversity in sockets. This set offers metric and imperial versions of 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 in a wide variety of deep well, short, and 8 point vs. 12 point. The socket wrenches are also 100% steel, no plastic parts to break on you. The thumb switches are a bit stiff at first, but do appear to be loosening up. The extensions are not wobblers, so that's one drawback. The case this all comes in is nice too, although the bottom drawer is difficult to get out unless you take the top off first. Overall, I'm very pleased with the set and I'd recommend this to anyone that needs a complete mechanics tool set and only wants to buy one once. In fact, this is a great gift for a new home owner as their first tool set.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jjjj Overall, good product
After my Mac tool set was stolen several years ago, I vowed that I was finished purchasing multi-thousand dollar tools. I feel that, all things considered, these are a great tool set. I would prefer them in the "chrome black" that they make some of their other tools in. Also, the tool box that it comes in can't stand the abuse of being moved around too much, so I placed my tools in a Pelican case after the original case itself broke at the clasp and all my tools came spilling out onto the street, which I was displeased about. I'm guessing that the box it came in wasn't meant to be permanent anyway, at least it didn't seem to be built to be permanent. The large font on the sockets is a nice feature. If only they could be color-coded, I would be 100% happy.
