Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pappy A good addition to a basic tool set
This set makes a good choice for someone who is putting together a basic tool set. You get a rubber handled screwdriver with ten common size bits. There's also a set of 14 Allen wrenches in metric and SAE popular sizes. But the big star of this set is the extensive variety of sockets and ratchets. You get 31 SAE and 21 metric sockets for the mini 1/4" and full size 3/8" ratchets which are plenty to cover most jobs. The ratchets have slick polished handles which feel slippery in your hand but should be easy to clean. You have to press a lock button on top when you install or remove a socket. Once on, they are securely attached and won't slip or fall off. All of this neatly fits in a heavy duty plastic case with two snap locks either side of the handle.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Mark Almost a great complete set
This is a great socket set with the large and small ratchets great for most average jobs and all of the most popular socket sizes. The screwdriver leaves a bit to be desired because it is essentially just a handle where you can slide the bits into. It would have been nice to have it ratchet as well, so it would be easier to use as a screw driver and for sockets. They would have had to include a socket adapter to use on jobs like license plate fasteners, and that would have made it perfect. But since the set leaves those things desired, it just gets a good rating.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DIYQueenSWFL Solid toolkit, nice carrying case
This tool set has a strong, sturdy case to neatly keep all of your tools together, and good heavy-weight durable tools made of good metal construction, not plastic. It has a variety of tools to help you to complete many types of DIY home projects as well as any home car repairs. This is a high-quality toolkit.

These tools come in a handy case to keep them organized. It is a great set to have in a home workshop - I plan to keep this in my basement workshop so I don't have to run upstairs every time I need a tool.
The case is light and blowmolded, so it would not stand up to a lot of tossing around. But it's a great way to keep an organized set in the workshop.
The socket sizes are marked well - much easier to read than the large national hardware brand and appear to be as durable. There is a lifetime guarantee - so this is comparable and gives me confidence in the durability.
The ratchets appear to be a little better than the other common homeowner ratchets and includes a button for releasing the sockets (see photo).
This set includes 1/4 & 3/8 drive. The metrics span all the way to 19mm - a nice size to have. The SAE goes to 7/8 - it's a good span for this set.
There are some 1/4 drive deep sockets. Unfortunately these only go from 3/16-7/16 and 6-12 mm. I would prefer to have a wider span of deep sockets (and 3/8 drive for the larger ones) - I expect these are provided in the next larger socket set though. (see photo)
There's even some 1/4 drive 12-point sockets (in addition to a full set of 6-point). These span from 3/16-7/16. I don't use 12 point often, so the small size is not a big deal to me.
There are some allen wrenches too (1.5-6 mm and 1/16-7/32). These are nice to have, but are pretty small.
There is a nice bit holder and a variety of bits (ph 1&2, slot, 3 small torx and 3 hex). Nice to have these in this set, but I will keep my toolbox handy for the larger ones.
Overall, it is a nice spare toolkit to have handy in the workshop.

This is a great starter to form the backbone of a basic mechanics tool set. Sure, a lot of the "80 pieces" consist of small interchangeable nut drivers, allen wrenches etc. but don't let that dissuade you. The core appeal here is the fine complement of ratchets and sockets. The quality is good, the pieces are easy to clean, and there is a good variety of SAE and metric socket sizes, both in 1/2" and 3/8".
My only minor complaint, the briefcase style carrying case doesn't always do a good job retaining all of the components in their proper place when you're on the move.

There's not much you can say about a set of socket wrenches. They are exactly what I expected. Very good quality, plenty of socket sizes, and 2 ratchets. Both ratchets have a nice locking feature that is easy to engage/disengage and its easy to switch rotation - but not so easy that it switches when you don't want it to. The multi-bit screwdriver is nice to have a long with it, but it only has smaller size bits. I really like that it comes with 2 sets of allen wrenches - one standard and one metric. The case is nice and study and closes securely. I'm very happy with the set.

Husky done a great job fitting 80 piece's into a small case. This set is a Perfect Fit to put behind my seat on my regular cab pick-up. The tools have a great weight balance and the Quality is Superb. What's not to like about a Forever Warranty? From Allen Wrench's(SAE & MM) to Socket's(SAE & MM) and a Hand Driver, everything thing in one case. GREAT!

The Husky tools in this set are equal to / or better than, the tools from THE department store or the Tool-Truck tools I own, from years of purchases, AT A MINIMUM I PAID DOUBLE THE PRICE OF THIS SET!
All of these tool companies guarantee their tools but from Home Depot / HUSKY you get the Lifetime guarantee and you get quality at a price both the home owner and Professional can appreciate. If it sounds like a commercial it did not start out that way. I really did not think the HUSKY brand could compete with the professional tools I collected my whole life, but I found out differently. Husky puts out durability, with the fit and finish I did not think possible, at a cut rate price! I was pleasantly surprised these HUSKY tools can do any of the jobs asked of them and they did not give up. Better yet even if they do have an occasion to be asked to do more than is possible, they have a FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY. What else could any DIYer or Professional ask for!
