Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by L111 Worked great on 1/4 OD copper
I read the negative reviews on the HDX brand cutter, and then saw all of the positive reviews on this cutter, so I choose this Husky model.
I needed to cut the 1/4" OD copper pipe/tubing that feeds my refrigerator water line to get a clean end for the coupling to connect to the refrigerator line.
The copper tubing was very soft, so I went nice and slow, doing lots of turns around the tubing and slowly tightening the cutter. It worked like a charm.

If you have ever had to cut a pipe in a tight place then you know the advantage of a mini tubing cutter. This is a very nice one and I've used many of them over the years. This seems to be a heavy duty tool and time will tell how it holds up but for the first few cuts I like it. I like the fact that the head slides up and down on the screw drive mechanism when you squeeze the release on it. This makes it easy to adjust in place to the size of the pipe. Open it up, put it around the pipe to be cut, and squeeze it down onto the pipe and start cutting. Much easier and quicker than your typical mini tubing cutter. It also comes with a spare cutter wheel stored in the handle.

This handy cutter has some nice features.
First, the quick release is very nice to have, allowing quick placement and removal from the pipe. Simply squeeze the red ‘button’ and the base together and the blade assembly can be moved freely along the threaded shaft.
Next, there is a spare blade inside the tool, for that time when you are on the jobsite and the old blade won’t cut it anymore.
The tool is easy to handle, Cutting copper pipe is a breeze, after about 2 turns the pipe comes apart with a nice clean cut.
The range of pipe sizes is great too, ⅛” all the way up to 1-⅛”
It has a forever warranty (which excludes the cutting blade of course).

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by cmill It may be mini, but it's definitely mighty
This is an unbelievably tough little tool. I thought this was going to have a plastic casing, but it's all metal. Used it to pvc when installing a bathroom vanity, and it cut through like butter. I love that you can just slide to adjust the size instead of having to hand tighten it all the way down, and also really like the quick release (red slider button). It's so much easier than using a saw to cut your plumbing pipes, and leaves a clean edge everytime. Worth ever penny if you ask me!

This feels like a sturdy little tubing cutter, that is designed like most of the metal tubing cutters on the market. To operate it, you tighten the cutting wheel firmly against the metal tubing, spin it around the tube a few times, tighten some more and repeat until it has cut through the metal. The construction feels very strong and it fits comfortably in my hand. The stand out feature I see is that you can slide the cutting wheel down onto the tubing without having to tighten the threaded rod. And once you have completed cutting the tubing you can use the quick release to open the cutter and remove the tube. It's a nifty design and should provide many years of service.
It cuts through copper tubing with little to no burring and if you cut slow enough it shouldn't deform the pipe too much. In the two included sample cut pictures I was more aggressive with tightening the cutting wheel.
The manufacturer thought to include and extra cutting disk and if you're wondering where it is, it's located underneath the red cap on the tightening knob.

What a dream to use. Very, very fast open & close and it fits in relatively tight places. Fully extended mine can handle up to 1 ¼ inch diameter and is under 4 inches at it‘s longest point and is under 2 inches wide. Typical Husky quality and design. Simply pinch the easily accessed red button, easily done one handed in a tight place and slide over the threads, to open or close. Everything works smooth and easy. Wheel is quickly removed with a Phillips head driver. Hey, they even include a spare wheel, BUT if you hold the dull wheel against a sanding belt or grinding wheel on a screw or pin at the right angle and apply light pressure to the side of the blade allowing the blade to spin you can easily hand sharpen them. You can even lightly pinch the wheel between thumb & forefinger and grind without a pin. Just be careful with your fingers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tef Worked perfectly
I thought another review was needed by someone who actually purchased the item. I used it to cut some 3/4" copper pipe. I made no more than 8 cuts upon which my evaluation is based. Each cut was made quickly and turned out perfectly. This item was easy to use. For my limited use it was perfect. Low cost.
Packaging said "Bonus extra cutting wheel". I did not see it but suspect it is in the knob.
I recommend for light usage. I have no opinion on the long term durability of this mini pipe cutter.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Gasser Nice tool and a great value
I bought this to cut the 1-1/8" steel steerer on a bicycle suspension fork. I'd planned to use a hacksaw and a blade guide, but was unable to find a suitable guide. However, I think this nifty little tool probably made the job easier anyway. The quick adjust feature is great and the the tool holds its track nicely unlike some of the super cheapo cutters I've read about. I had to make two cuts to size the fork right for my bike and it made pretty quick work of it. Since it did such a great job on steel, cutting copper tubing with it should be a breeze if I ever need it for a plumbing repair. It's so compact I just hope I can find it if I need it!
