Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by JoeD Can't believe Home Depot would sell this...
I know it states "recondition", but I could not believe Home Depot would ship something like this. I figure no manual, some wear or scratches, but this thing looked like it was abused since day one. paint worn down to bare metal, rusty looking on the in side nail holder, stickers worn off, the part that holds the nail was bent, missing parts, and worst of all it looked like it was dropped in some kind of glue material that was all over the top part.(nasty). I realize "recondition" means used, but NOT ABUSED!! The only good thing was I returned it to my near by Home Depot with no problem. I notice Home Depot sells a NuMax new for $99 I might try that next.

Given a bad review I saw on this site, I was hesitant to purchase the Grade B-C reconditioned nailer. Still, my project was small (building an 8x8 office shed) and I couldn't justify buying a more expensive nailer. So glad I went with this one. The nailer was in near-perfect condition and functioned well throughout the project. No manual was included, but easy to download from HomeDepot.com.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Diyer Great value
The nail gun I received was in good shape only some scuffs on it. I am sure that what cosmetic condition varies. If I was a contractor I would buy a new one, but as diy er this works great. If your just doing projects here and there I think this is a great deal. It works smoothly for me. I had put off buying one for many years because of the price. At this price I decided it was time to quit swinging the hammer as much. It doesn't come with the manual, but just down load it from Homedepot. I said it was a con not having one, but it is really not a big deal. Happy building everyone.

So this grade B-C reconditioned nailer came and didn't look anything like what I was expecting. Being grade B-C I was thinking very scuffed up and scratched. Nope! It should have been graded "A". Only a few scuffs from where it touches when put down was all! All the original stickers were there, and readable, the scuffs were light. And it works great! 2500+ nails through it and not a single miss-fire/double-feed. I will definitely buy more of these "reconditioned" nailers in different sizes when it comes time for the finishing of our cabin! Thanks for a great product!

Needed this item to build a shed. Worked like a champ! Had a few issues with it at first, but realized I needed to adjust my compressor. The only time it became a pain is when the nail supply got low. It had a tendency to jam when there were only a few nails left. That said, I also realize that it may have been the fault of the nails rather than the nailer. Guess I'll never know. Easy adjustments to adapt to different nail sizes. Only took 1-2 nails to get the adjustment perfect so the heads were flush or maybe just a little countersunk. Used it for the framing and the siding. To me, it worked as good as brand new. Looked a little worn on the case, but it performed better than expected. A little on the heavy side, but what can you expect?

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sparky44 Great Gun, Bad Design.
Got this gun a week ago. It looked brand new. Needed to put some siding on the house so I bought some 2-3/8 nails. The gun worked fine after I dialed in the depth. After four rows of nails went through the gun the return spring was slow to push the nails. This lead to some misfires. At the same time the safety on the tip of the gun tried to fall off. Now the gun will not work. There is a small "C" clip that holds the safety in place that fell off. They need to use an "E" style clip as this will hold up better.

Got it a few weeks ago and was able to finally use it today. When it arrived it looked near new with a few exceptions. You need to press down and squeeze the trigger each time, I am told this is standard now. It seemed to work really good, the nails seem to set differently but I think the material I was nailing into is different underneath, I am re-nailing redwood siding back on where the original nails have been falling out. All in all I am very pleased! for $60 a deal

tool looked good but....no owner manual. i went on line to get operating manual. manual said a red trigger was supplied to change firing sequence and this was missing. a threaded plug on top of nailer just below exhaust port directional adjuster was missing -had to find a threaded plug to fill the hole. the anti mar cover for contact tip was missing. if I chose to return part I would be billed for shipping. Warning, do not buy Home Depot reconditioned parts on line. Buy from store. If I can find a copy of my E-Mail shipping confirmation I will take to Home Depot store for a hopefully exchange or a refund. I was very disappointed because I need a project done this week and my wife is me to get it done. I liked the price and I am sure it would be fine if all the pieces were there. I only hope Home Depot customer service is as good as Lowes.
