Answer:
Yes, this is a pneumatic tool and must be connected to an air compressor to operate. Husky recommends 70-120psi to operate properly. The longer your nail, the greater the psi required to fully install the nail. I've successfully operated this tool with a 3.5 gallon pancake compressor.

Answer:
Yes, it needs an air compressor. There are couples of electric nail guns which do not need air compressors.

Answer:
You will need to attach this to an air compressor. I have a pancake compressor that came with my finish nail gun. It works great at 100 lbs pressure and can keep up with my nailing speed with out any problem. The Manual comes with the gun and tells you the specs needed for the compressor. My compressor is not as powerful as what is recommeded and it still works fine.
Good luck.

Hi Emil, this nailer requires an air compressor. There are other type of nailers that are battery operated, that do not require a compressor.
However most nailers that are battery only, are the lighter gauge nailers and are used for trim or molding work.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by this product was great and worked great bought this to build a garage 24x26 it worked wonderful no jams used two different length nails kept swapping them back and forth worked very well price was very good I checked around and could not match the price anywhere else. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly as described I bought this to use instead of a (high end) nailer I borrowed from my son-in-law that was to heavy for my bad sholders. It's almost half the weight and works just as good. After using it I purchased the finish nailer combo kit and a palm nailer! I have shot well over 2,000 2&1/2" nails without a single missfire. April 2, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Might be better than I think I needed an framing gun for a volunteer restoration project of a historical house in my area. As the the conservancy was paying for it, I needed a very good value for the money. I got the refurbished Husky. It looked new and came with all the extras (no case though). It took me a few minutes to get it to work. Oil it first and work the "hammer" back and forth with the supplied Allen wrench. There is a nail depth adjustment on the front you have to experiment with to get right. You need to readjust when switching from flat nailing to toe nailing. I am still learning to use it, but I like it. Toe nailing is still kind of a pain. Doesn't drive the nail as far as I would like. It has a lot of power and wants to jump on you if you don't really hold it down hard. That's real difficult when toe nailing. The cleat doesn't really help, but like I said I am still learning to use it. Once I have it figured out I think I will like it even more than I do now. December 31, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value I purchased this product to remodel my basement. Thus far it has performed exactly as described with no issues. The item was listed as Class A refurbished. This included a few barely noticeable blemishes and chips of paint on the surface. Otherwise, great value for the investment. February 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value. I previously owned a 20 year old Bostitch framing nailer, $175 to repair. I purchased this nailer for $75. I am not a contractor, so it is not being used hard. Been using for 2 weeks and it has worked perfectly. Thanks. January 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice nailer Product came as advertised. The nailer looks almost new. I had to spend some adjusting it but, in the end it works just fine. It should be fine for home use. Make sure your air compressor is big enough. February 11, 2014
