Don't buy it, if you do decide to buy it any way.. Bring a sample of whatever you plan to work on (bolt or fastener) to double check whether or not the fastener fits properly in the wrench or socket.
If it's too tight or too lose, skip it.
The tolerances for fit will vary from set to set. The fastener should slide in to the box end but the fit should be tight enough that the flat surfaces don't Read More

Xen, the Universal design refers to the fastener type. The box end will fit 6-point, 12-point, square, E-TORX, Spline, and partially rounded hex fasteners. This set contains SAE sizes. It sounds like you are looking for sku 342713, which features the same Universal box end but has Metric sizes

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Boxed end supports many fastener types Universal means the boxed end supports six different types of fastener styles. This set is only for SAE fasteners not Metric (they have a different metric set). On standard six point fasteners the spline drive makes contact in two spots on the face of the fastener which prevents rounding. One of the things I like about this set it the built in carrying case. The wrenches snap into the plastic case which seems very secure and then the top cover folds down over top of that for added security. There is also a built in carrying handle. This creates a convenient portable wrench set for project use. Add the lifetime warranty and this product is a winner!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I own 3 sets of these husky wrenches I honestly wish I had saved the money i spent here and just bought tool room grade snap-on tools instead. The machining tolerances for these wrenches varies too much, some are so sloppy they don't fit well enough to use or worse yet they will round off your fasteners. I attempted to use these and some Tekton branded stuff on a motorcycle job, nearly ruined the bike. 2 sets of identical metric wrenches from Husky: 1 set w/17mm wrench almost doesn't fit or is what machinists would call a press fit because of how tight it is (that's not a good fit!), the other set that has a 17mm that is a proper fit. The indexing ratchet on the the Combi wrenches from husky: the ratchet mechanism will flex under stress and slip, causing the surface of the bolt or other connector you are torquing on to round off. Some of these sets skip part of the index, so you may get a 10-19mm index but 18 and perhaps 16 might come up absent from the one set but not be missing from another. It's not accidental for some reason it's intentional. If you care about your tools and need them for important stuff like working on a vehicle or other item you cant replace if the tools you use ruin it, DON'T EVER BUY THIS STUFF! Buy a brand you can trust, Snap-On Blue line or one of their subsidiaries that sell to aerospace and machinists. These brands or places that cater to the casual home user and hobbyist are counting on you not caring (or knowing) whether what you are buying is high enough in quality to actually do serious work with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but "Universal" is not the right word Good quality wrenches, backed by HomeDepot's lifetime warranty. However, "Universal" is not the right description because "universal" is normally used to mean it fits both Metric and SAE sized fasteners. These are SAE-only, spline-drive combination wrenches. If you zoom in on the product picture, you'll see the box-end head uses a 12pt spline drive instead of the traditional 12pt corner drive. The spline fits some 12pt-head fasteners, but it doesn't warrant the misleading description of "universal"...ESPECIALLY since 15~20yrs ago there WAS a universal combination wrench design made with a spline drive and a modified open-end with tolerances to fit BOTH metric and SAE fasteners (but it seems to have died out, perhaps because the tolerances were too tight and too loose to be reliable with all sizes and manufacturing variations).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from handy set for everyone these open wrenches are perfect for tightening large amounts of bolts of the same size. the set includes a holding rack which keeps the product organized. this set complements another adjustable wrench set that we own, but would not be used for the same type of project. my husband likes the weight of these wrenches. the product is well made and designed. we expect these to last a lifetime. every size needed is offered in this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Tools. Quality Plating While I have been in Maintenance all my life, I have had the exposure to many types of tools and tool brands over my career. While many of us have our "favorite brand", many of of often get exposed to one particular brand (sold in a big box store) with a lifetime warranty. Over the years, the real issue is that one needs that warranty as the quality is not what is used to be and the plating is really quite poor theses days. The plating on these Husky's is really quite decent considering the price. They also have a nice feel and weight. I highly recommend them
