Answer:
I just bought this and had the same problem. The head was stuck and wouldn't budge. I finally just pushed it as hard as I could and it slowly started to move. It just takes a lot of force.

Answer:
It should flip right over at the base of the black part. If it doesn't, it must be stuck. It should be easy. Maybe you should bring it back to the store and have someone look at it? Hope that helps. Ok, now you can start drinking......well, it is 5 o'clock!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It work excellence every hanfyman need one Cant leave home with out it.I bought 20years ago and it help me alot over the years. September 20, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basin Wrench Great tool but needs to open up farther to be used on 2 inch nuts September 6, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Meh... Depending on your sink and faucet configuration this could be useful. I've had good luck with it on my bathroom faucets but not my kitchen faucet. Of course the kitchen was where I really needed it to work. There are two problems with the wrench. First the head isn't big enough to accommodate a large nut (like many kitchen faucets use). Second the head is too wide to fit well into the small confines of todays deep kitchen sinks. Because it didn't work I ended up in an extended battle with the sink and my vice-grips. Just the situation I was trying to avoid. June 14, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not good too hard to handle ,will not buy this product again June 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Tool~ Well Made ~Must Have This is a very well made basin wrench. Really durable and really makes the job so much easier! I now consider it a Must Have tool! You can adjust the length (telescope) which is awesome. I am so glad I bought this. It took me a minute to figure out I had to flip the top piece over, depending on which way you want to turn the wrench. Well made and sturdy. Good tool to have if you are a do - it - yourselfer! Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DIDN'T NEED IT AFTER ALL I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE NUT CONNECTING THE FAUCET TO THE SINK WITHOUT THE USE OF THIS BASIN WRENCH. ACTUALLY THERE WASN'T ENOUGH CLEARANCE AROUND THE NUT TO USE THIS BASIN WRENCH. THE UTUBE VIDEOS RECOMMENDED HAVING THIS WRENCH AVAILABLE, BUT IT DIDN'T MAKE REMOVAL OF THE NUT EASIER AT ALL. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok, somewhat! Works okay if there is no trim around nut. If the area is really tight, then this will not work! January 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It works if you know how to use it I found the RIDGID faucet tool easier to work with under the cramped sink. I had to have a plumber show me how to use the basin wrench. I suppose for some situations it is an essential part of any tool kit. He used it to turn off my water in the street, so it's very strong. But not every tool will work in every situation, at least not for me. January 5, 2016
