Vibration Damped Air Saw is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tool You Grab All construction trades use reciprocating saws for installing and removing walls, floors and ceilings. The uses are endless. The new Husky air tool line is built providing more power, less noise and longer life. This new Husky Vibration Damped Air Saw reduces vibration by 50% and cuts up to 3/8 inch sheet metal. Stud removal is easy by slicing the nails between stud ends and plates. Weights less than 10 lbs, works longer causing less fatigue. Accepts both wood and metal blades. 360° Rotational Rear Exhaust keeps the air off your work surface. Safety Lock Off Level prevents accidental start-ups. Air compression is required.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Small air-powered reciprocating saw This small reciprocating saw performed ok. Its maximum cutting depth is about 2 inches. However, it cannot take the place of a faster, larger reciprocating saw for cutting thicker materials. Its small size makes it handy when working in close spaces. It requires an air compressor that can deliver 90 lbs. pressure. The manufacturer recommends that you maintain 90 lbs. for best operating results and not to exceed this pressure, which could damage the saw. The saw requires a ¼” NPT coupling to connect it to the air supply. The saw needs to be lubricated before each use. It’s recommended before servicing or attempting to change a blade you disconnect the tool from the air supply to prevent accidental operation of the tool. The tool comes with 3 metal cutting blades as shown in one of my pictures. Wood cutting blades are available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well-made tool This is an expensive tool but it is really well built. It feels really solid in your hand but it is also quite light. On the website it says it is 9.75 lbs. but thankfully that is incorrect. It actually weighs 15 ¾ ounces/450 grams. It does come with a case but it is really just more of a bag. For something this expensive I would have thought you would have got a better case. It comes with 3 different blades with different number of teeth. There is 18, 24 and 32 teeth. The lever to turn it on has another smaller lever which you need to move with your finger. This is a little awkward but I’m sure that is the point so you can’t turn the tool on by mistake. When I used it the first blade was completely worn out very quickly on 1/8 inch steel. The tool worked perfectly other than wearing out a blade in a very short amount of cutting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from smooth This is a smooth operating air saw. I have used the "tool truck" air saws before and was skeptical about this one. I decided to try it because it beats the old fashioned hacksaw. To my surprise there is very little vibration. I used it to cut flexible conduit and it cuts very clean and quickly. It comes with 3 blades and the Allen wrench to change the blades. The tool is compact in size but does not lack power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great saw I am rebuilding my utility trailer and have used this saw a lot. I have used it to cut through the metal square stock and angle iron and also some expanded metal mesh. It cuts quickly and very accurately, with very little to no vibration. You need to have at least 90psi for this saw to work its best. I am looking forward to using this on future projects in my shop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from VIBRATION DAMPED AIR SAW This little saw works good and is quiet for an air tool. The exhaust can be directed in different directions. The exhaust is at the back of the handle around the air inlet and exhausts air at a 90 degree angle from the tool, and can be turned a full 360 degrees. The vibration isn't bad but it is noticeable and will make your fingers buzz after a little use. It would be nice if it would use a standard sawzall blade, To change the saw blade requires a allen wrench and there is no holder on the tool so you have to find some place to carry the allen wrench. The trigger works ok but the safety interlock is hard to operate if you are using your index finger to release it, works good if you have it on your thumb side and use your thumb to release it. also the trigger is hard to control for speed mostly wants to do on or off and hard to control in between. Good saw and very useful but I think there might be better choices for the money maybe the ingersol?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great saw for tight places This is my first air powered saw and my first impression was that it is well made and designed. I had no idea what to expect of an air powered reciprocating saw, but this one was much smoother than I would have thought possible. There is much less vibration than with my electric jig saw. This tool really does damp out most vibration. It has a cleverly designed safety lock on the trigger. It takes a simple but deliberate action to switch it on, so there is little chance of it turning on just by grabbing it, and if you did then your hand would be away from the blade. The best feature is its compact size. My only smaller metal cutting saw is a hacksaw blade handle, and I would never want to use that for any prolonged cutting. This tool is ideal for use in cramped spaces. However it is not fast cutting. I tried it on some 3/8" mild steel and after a minute I had cut less than half an inch. My counter-rotating dual circular saw is at least 10 times faster- but needs a lot of space and is a lot less accurate. No tool seems to excel in all tasks and this one will prove to be useful for many. It comes with 3 blades of different tooth pitch. I was surprised it didn't come with a quick connect fitting, but fortunately my box of air tool fittings had a spare connector so I was able to put the saw to immediate use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Cut Above the Rest A truly handy tool for cutting sheet metal with precision. The tool has a "solid" feel, but is compact and easy to position for delicate cuts. The tool is supplied with three blades (18, 24 and 32 TPI) and an allen wrench to install or remove a blade (though not as shown in the instructions which have the location of the set screw "flipped"). The tool requires 4 cfm at 90 psi (at the tool) which may limit "on" time, if you have a small compressor/tank. Note...the pressure should be set with the tool compensate for pressure drop in the hose. With a 2 HP compressor and 20 gallon tank, continuous operation is not possible, requiring pauses to let the pump catch up...though, for the detail work that this type of saw would be used for, this may not be a problem for everyone (except, maybe, those doing auto body work requiring extended cuts....but you probably have a 60 or 80 gallon tank, anyway). The only two negatives I found are....there is no provision for attaching the hex key to the tool it won't get lost; and...the "safety latch" on the operating lever on the tool I received exhibited a lot of binding...making it difficult to pull back on the safety, without actuating the tool. This may alleviate itself after more use when the latch "wears in" . All in all, a solid tool that makes detail work a breeze. Pictures show the cuts (straight and curved) in 16 gauge steel with each of the three blades.
