Answer:
It's not technically a work bench but forms an inner surface square of 19 1/2 inches and outer square with the X legs of 23 inches. It is 30 1/2 inches tall.
It's perfect size and stable for my chop saw.

This item is frequently described in reviews as unstable and wobbly, and the old aluminum leg version was not. I wonder if the wobble is due to poor quality control in manufacturing or to the "plastic" deforming under load or heat.

Answer:
they are plastic.
They are pretty sturdy. They do twist a little to easily, but that is if you only use one, if you use two than its not an issue.

Answer:
Yes they do. Think of them as X-wing Fighters, the X collapses on itself to be very flat. The top then clips to the center of the table.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great for.. As a workbench, the Husky X-workhorse is utterly useless. It has, however, found its true calling as the best small refrigerator stand money can buy. Five stars. August 15, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good design I love how easy it functions and I don't need 2 saw horses to make a table, but it is very wobbly. I use it for my tile saw and small chop saw but would not recommend it for steady detailed work. July 19, 2016
